It had been a long time since I had any Ethiopian food, so I decided to take a visiting graduate student here for dinner. I would not go again. Although I did not taste her order of collard greens, she evidently did not care for the dish because she just picked at it. My dish, made from finely ground chickpeas and lots and lots of garlic, tasted fine but gave me indigestion later. On the positive side, the servers were friendly and the wine I chose from the small list (a Barbera from Hopewell Valley Vineyards) was good and reasonably priced ($26).

We ordered the best of samplers for two. There was a lot of food and it was delicious. The order came with two desserts, we picked a carrot cake and a baklava. The carrot cake was fine but the baklava was disappointing, will not recommend it. I also ordered a cup of decaf coffee which tastes like from the bottom of the pot. The restaurant now has a bar which we were not aware of. But they only sell wine by bottles. You can bring your own wine and pay for the corking fee. They were nice enough to allow us to drink the wine we brought with us without charge as we didn’t need them to open the wine.

I met friends here for lunch recently and both the food and service were excellent. We ate from the vegetarian menu and everyone really enjoyed their entrees. I will definitely return!
