Situé au pied du quartier des arts de Portland au Monument Square, le chef et propriétaire David Turin a déménagé le David's Restaurant à cet emplacement historique en 1998. Le restaurant est décoré avec goût et créativité et rend hommage au "Great Fire", seul bâtiment sorti indemne de ce feu en 1866. La cuisine ouverte vous permettra d'observer la création des repas tous composés d'ingrédients locaux et qui sont préparés de façon originale.     We have been to David’s several times and the food has always been exceptional. During our most recent visit, on a busy Saturday evening, the service was good but the server seemed overly stretched. Regarding the decor, while it was certainly clean, it seemed a little worn and could use an update.

    Sadly despite making reservations we’re walked into a back room with none of the character that lends a lot to this place. 4th time eating here. Once we drive up just from Boston to eat here. Tonight was a disappointment. The calamari, our favorite, was drowned in dressing and chewy. The garlic knots were either overdone or chewy like they should be. My husband had steak and lobster pizza. Only steak came through. I decided to try the nearly famous meatloaf. It tasted odd. The mashed potatoes were lumpy. The sauce very strong and salty. After a while I realized the top of the meatloaf was burned and the bottom soggy. I couldn’t finish 1/2. I violated my own rule, I should have sent it back. Unfortunately for what we anticipated as out valentines dinner, a day late so we could get a table, it was not worthy. Sadly, I won’t be going here again. Too wildly off from their usual standard.

    Over all great experience. Nice small restaurant with great service. Cosmo was great and the valentines menu was excellent

    My wife and I came for David’s 3 course Valentine’s dinner. Not everything went exactly to plan; however, David’s staff and manager were amazing and made our entire evening very enjoyable. Food was fantastic, the corn chowder was excellent.

    We went to David’s for Valentines Day dinner. It was a prix fix menu and it was delicious. The server was fantastic and helped us find local music after dinner.
