Food is always great. Atmosphere is quirky and cool. Service is ok. Could be a bit faster for as slow as it was, but overall good.

The food was good, just some minor issues. My husband ordered the pad Thai with a level 1(of 5) for heat. It was still rather hot, but bearable. I order the coconut soup with chicken for a protein. The soup was delicious! Lots of coconut and lime flavors. The chicken was dry and bland- as if it had been sitting out and just dumped in. I would order the soup again without protein.

I will preface by saying we were about 10-15 mins late for our reservation so that was on us. But the moment we stepped into Deejai our experience was less than acceptable. First, the manager pointed to the back of the restaurant and said “you’re set up back there”. Didn’t show us to our table, which was fine I guess. But right then we should have known this wasn’t going to be a good establishment. Then, the waitress got one of our orders wrong and gave us a $15 roll instead of the $7 one we ordered. She said she overheard us discussing the $15 roll before we ordered the $7 one and that’s where the confusion came from, so idk if she was trying to pull a fast one or what. She did not take this off the bill. After that, our party of 7 got our food except for 2 of us. Which came a full 20 mins later than everyone else’s. No apology from the staff, just said “it’s coming” a couple of times. There were BUGS flying around our food the entire evening. We were swatting them away in between bites. Truly disgusting, I don’t even want to know what it was like back in the kitchen. And finally, the bill came. The $15 roll was still on there even tho we told her it was the incorrect roll. And apparently they had raised the prices of all the drinks by $3 even though our menu had not been updated. So because of this and the roll we didn’t order, our bill was $36 more than it should have been. We told this to our waitress and she said “well if it bothers you that much I can fix it” so we asked her to fix it and all she did was take $10 off our bill. We just moved to Charlotte and definitely will not be back here or recommending this place to anyone.

Excellent pad Thai, sushi and curry dishes. The basil stir fry was a flop- much more of a soup than a stir fry and too spicy even though specified level 1 of 5.

A friend of mine came into town and she wanted some Thai food so I found this cute restaurant outside of Noda. The vibe is very cute and the service was excellent. The Jolly Rancher cocktail tasted just like a green Jolly rancher and I ordered the Spicy Basil Stir Fry Rice Bowl. You can choose your spice level from 0-5. I think anything above 3 is way too hot, I like spicy food so I chose level 3 and that was just enough. We had a great time and will definitely be back.
