    The night was honestly saved by the bartender and server. Jason our server was great, cool under pressure and saved the night. We came up to Tampa for a little Christmas vacation and we got a late reservation at Del Frisco’s at 8pm. I didn’t realize that they closed at 8pm that night, but when we got there we saw how busy they still were. We arrived 15 min early and were told it would be about a 15 min wait and that we would be texted when our table was ready. We moved to the bar and we were only about 20 feet from the hosts. When we sat down at the bar we were informed that they were out of Filets and Ribeyes (Filet is my wife’s favorite). Ok, it’s late, let’s stick it out. Soon after we were informed they were out of all steaks but the NY Strip and the aged NY Strip. Soon after my phone tells me our table is ready. But as my wife goes up (about 2 min after since we had to pay at the bar, I checked my phone) she is informed that our table was given away because we were marked at no shows. Apparently the hostess, who saw us when we came in and could see us from the bar had called out our last name a few times and since I couldn’t hear her over the noise we were marked no shows as soon as she paged us. We were then sat at a 6 top “pop-up” table . Thankfully Jason our server swung in and saved the day. He was appropriately attentive and tho he seemed to be working without a Server Assistant or Back Waiter he performed all tasks spectacularly. My main disappointment was lack of information from hosts or management. We could have been informed about the steak situation when we checked in. When we sat the manager checked on us and that was the last we saw of him. No apologies for the wait, the lack of food or the giant table. We would definitely come back to Del Frisco’s to see Jason and the bartenders, and we know how crazy holidays can be, especially late night, but a little bit more attention from management would have been appreciated.

    My boyfriend and I made reservations for 7 pm for a Christmas dinner, due to how busy it was, we weren’t seated till 7:30. They offered to allow us to go upstairs and sit at the bar while we waited but the bar seats were all full so we came downstairs to sit down. I got a text message saying our table was ready, but when we approached the front desk, it wasn’t and apparently no one was sending texts that tables were ready. We were seated and we ordered a truffle Mac and cheese, one rib eye steak, 1 ceaser salad, and 2 glasses of wine. Originally, we ordered bone in rib eye, but they ran out (which happens but weird for a steak house?). They offered a regular rib eye for 16 oz and it took 45 mins for us to get our food (they told us 15-20 mins). I don’t think the ribeye was 16 oz and it was also lukewarm. The Mac and cheese also came out with the steak and it was really good, but the portion was really small, which was a little sad. I was comparing my experience to Del Frisco’s in New York, so I expected a lot more. We watched a large table leave because they weren’t served for such a long time. We also watched a table seated 20 mins after us receive their food first and generally, it seemed that no one was happy with their experience. We even had to ask for water refills at one point (but that waiter booked it, and it was the fastest service we received all night). The red velvet cheesecake was good, but I don’t think i would call it a cheesecake. It’s just a red velvet cake with A LOT of cream cheese icing. The staff was friendly and I honestly felt bad for them. They did their best with was happening and my boyfriend and I didn’t want to cause them more hassle than they were already experiencing. I don’t know if it’s management or the kitchen or overbooking on Christmas but something does need to be fixed.

    Went for Christmas dinner. When they called to confirm, I let them know we needed a booster seat. No booster seat was provided and I needed to ask two times for one before receiving it. We ordered drinks, the espresso martini was made so poorly it was undrinkable. Service was so slow that I was not able to get a replacement drink. By 6;45 two of the main steaks cuts (smaller ny strip and smaller fillet) were sold out. All three party members who ordered steak had theirs cooked at the wrong temperature but again due to the extensive wait time, just ate the steaks. Ordered a salad with grilled chicken, the chicken was so over cooked and dry it was not edible. Service was extremely slow, even for a busy night. No one checked on the table after our food was received to make sure it was correct. When we received the bill, the drink that was returned was still on the tab and we needed to ask for it to be removed. Overall an awful experience for a holiday dinner.

    Unfortunately it was not a good experience. Reservations were at 530. Didn’t leave until almost 9. Food was cold and took forever to get drinks filled. Understandable that it was Christmas and they were short staffed. Everything took twice as long as it should have. Then on the way out with my elderly mom and son in tow. The door shut on my hand trying to keep it open for my son to board. Needless to say I likely will not return.

    We had not been to Del Frisco Grille for awhile and tonight’s experience was a most pleasant surprise. Our server Steve was everything you want in a server, cordial but not too familiar, well versed in the menu as to portion sizes, and efficient in meeting our requests. The food was outstanding, as we had the butternut squash soup, a few appetizers and veggie, dessert and coffee. Hostess seated us in a booth as requested in the reservation. Professional all the way around and made Christmas most enjoyable.

    Food was cold. Sent two meals back and it came back hot the second time but very bland and not flavorful. They didn’t get the side dishes right the first time. Second time the side dishes were correct but cold. They offered free desert for the table and we ordered two but then they charged us for one of them. Not the best Christmas dinner experience and we won’t go back to Del Friscos. One and done!

    Gorgeous facility but uncomfortably cold. When reservation was made I had requested a table notba booth. I reminded the hostess of this when we arrived. They took us to a bootloader, which I refused. We did get a table but in the process I overheard a manager comment to the hostess that he didn't want my husband walking around the place ( he is disabled) I'm sure he thought he was speaking confidentially but I still heard the comment. Food was so-so, everything was just lukewarm, not hot like it should have been (especially the whipped potatoes) Seemed like it had been sitting under heat lamps. Would have sent it back but our server had several large parties and we just ate it. When you are paying north of $200 for a meal you expect perfection. Not so in this case.We have paid less money for far better.

    The service was slow, the drinks were awful, especially the smoked old fashioned, even with the up charge of Woodford reserve. No bread, everything was extremely salty, the only good thing was that the steaks were juicy. It was bad enough that we ate and asked for the check before they even asked for desserts.

    Christmas dinner at Del Frisco's Grille was disappointing. Ordered sirloin steak medium rare and it was served lukewarm. Quality of the meat was not what it should be for the prices charged Side dishes were also not hot except for the fries. I think they cooked the steaks, spinach and sprouts and let them sit in the kitchen while they fried the fries. Bread was available but our server did not offer it when taking our orders. Had to ask for it after our food eas delivered when we saw other tables eating bread. Ironically the bread was quite good. I don't know why I would ever return to this restaurant.

    The food was spectacular! We loved everything we ordered, highly recommend the cheesesteak rolls!! They were so good, kinda wish I could have just ate a plate of those for dinner. The service wasn’t great, however I could tell they were short staffed & our server was doing her best bc she was also help the bartender make drinks. On par w the steakhouses in the area.
