Established in 1837, Delmonico's remains the oldest restaurant in New York City and returns for the fall of 2023. Living in its original building at the intersection of Beaver & William Street in the financial district, Delmonico's holds to be the first dining establishment in America to be called by its French name "Restaurant”. All in all, and excellent experience. Only issue was my daughter and I were seated off to the side, in sort of an afterthought kind of location. Sort of what you would expect if someone made one too many reservations and had to figure where to put these two people. We were in the line of traffic from wherethe maitre'd greets people and then leads them to their better seating. The place was also noisy, so I felt like the conversation required alot of effort to communicate overwhelming din. No Steakhouse seems to have figured this one out yet. Steak itself was phenomenal, as were the sides and dessert. Price tag was just enough to jolt me out of my slumber,

They did a great job to make our anniversary special. The waiter was tentative and the food/drinks were excellent! They even put “Happy Anniversary” on the cheesecake we ordered.

Food was inedible. Staff was rude. Delmonico’s used to be a NYC icon. Now it’s just sad. Even the paintings on the wall were terrible.

Served wrong drink. Served incorrect cooked steaks. I was given a well done when I ordered medium rare steak while Another person at the table was given a medium rare steak when they ordered well done Staff very amateur Surprisingly very poor experience for such a famous restaurant from food quality to staff. Not worth the cost

El lugar y la comida excelentes, el servicio en la mesa de primera… todo como se esperaba, e incluso un poco mejor. Lamentablemente no puedo poner 5 estrellas, pues nos hicieron esperar casi 50 minutos a pesar de tener la reserva confirmada. Se nos ofreció una disculpa e incluso se nos obsequió el postre “baked alaska” (muy bueno) a manera de compensación… lo anterior literalmente “endulzó” la experiencia que de otra forma hubiera sido desagradable.

We went for restaurant week, the food was really good but the portions were small, the service was great and the ambiance was amazing, I definitely recommend.
