Established in 1837, Delmonico's remains the oldest restaurant in New York City and returns for the fall of 2023. Living in its original building at the intersection of Beaver & William Street in the financial district, Delmonico's holds to be the first dining establishment in America to be called by its French name "Restaurant”.     El lugar y la comida excelentes, el servicio en la mesa de primera… todo como se esperaba, e incluso un poco mejor. Lamentablemente no puedo poner 5 estrellas, pues nos hicieron esperar casi 50 minutos a pesar de tener la reserva confirmada. Se nos ofreció una disculpa e incluso se nos obsequió el postre “baked alaska” (muy bueno) a manera de compensación… lo anterior literalmente “endulzó” la experiencia que de otra forma hubiera sido desagradable.

    We went for restaurant week, the food was really good but the portions were small, the service was great and the ambiance was amazing, I definitely recommend.

    To be fair, I am not a steak eater and thought if I were going to like a steak, it would be here. The steak is was fine but my least favorite part of the meal. It was a lot better after I added the blue cheese sauce . However, The crab cake and chocolate cake are what I’d come back for.

    Always a treat... food, ambiance and service were excellent. We were there for restaurant week and the only disappointment was that the steak did not come with anything. I can understand charging extra for sides, but at least put a bit of parsley or garnish on the plate.

    Beautiful restaurant. We were sat on the gorgeous blue banquette in the main dining room. Steak was outstanding (eye of delmonico). Wanted to go back right away to try other things off the menu!

    Signature Delmonico rib eye was really delicious. We both asked for medium rare. However, mine was cooked medium and his was rare but it was delicious so it didn't matter. The Chianti wine we had with it was delicious and especially the dessert! The cheesecake and Alaska were both delicious. I would go again if I have the chance. It was a good experience.

    Visited NYC for my foodie daughter’s birthday. She was turning 13 and loved this restaurant and this restaurant will be part of her permanent memory. She slurped every oyster and dove into the perfectly cooked filet. The surprise at the end was how played the cheesecake. Gorgeous and added perfectly to our celebration. I genuinely appreciated they seated us in the main dining room and weren’t dismissive towards her. She was treated very well, like anyone else with discerning palate. Thank you!!!

    Overall great except for the 2 entitled idiots sitting next to us. Made for a good laugh but holy sh*t were they annoying. Food was great, cocktails were great, service was great.
