Desi Vega is the restaurateur of Desi Vega's Steakhouse, Mr. John's Steakhouse, and Desi Vega's Prime Burgers & Shakes. Desi grew up in the restaurant business and was groomed by Ella Brennan at Commander's Palace, Ruth Fertel of Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and Emeril Lagasse. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence makes for a truly memorable dining experience.
Our USDA Prime steaks are carefully selected, hand-cut and aged for tenderness, then seared to perfection and served on a sizzling plate. Seafood selections include steamed crabs and lobster, Gulf fish in various preparations each day, and plenty of other seafood.

Service was very good, a busy evening and long day for the service staff. We had various types of food and all enjoyed what was served. Only complaint from one guest was that their baked potato was slightly undercooked. Would return and recommend.

I've been here a few times previously and this visit was with friends on 12/28. The ambiance and wait staff were on point. A complementary meatball with sauce was delicious but the Louie Salad and Scallop entrée were just okay for me. Based on my previous experiences here, I still recommend the restaurant.

It became obvious Desi was no longer affiliated with this restaurant when we bit into the crabcakes. What used to be the best crabcakes in town are now forgettable and breading-filled. The sauces seemed off too. Service was still great, as was my steak. Of note, you cannot use gift certificates purchased at the original CBD location despite the shared name, something they don't tell you and which doesn't appear anywhere on the digital gift certificate.

It is a beautiful restaurant, the staff is kind, courteous and very helpful with suggestions and answers to your questions. The food was very good and the service was also!

They seated us right outside the kitchen and in clear view of the wait staff shoveling waste into the trash cans. Service was extremely slow. Food was good though
