Desi Vega is the restaurateur of Desi Vega's Steakhouse, Mr. John's Steakhouse, and Desi Vega's Prime Burgers & Shakes. Desi grew up in the restaurant business and was groomed by Ella Brennan at Commander's Palace, Ruth Fertel of Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and Emeril Lagasse. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence makes for a truly memorable dining experience.
Our USDA Prime steaks are carefully selected, hand-cut and aged for tenderness, then seared to perfection and served on a sizzling plate. Seafood selections include steamed crabs and lobster, Gulf fish in various preparations each day, and plenty of other seafood.

Food and service is normally amazing. The last visit service was slower than normal and didn't care for the appetizer (crab meat and spinach).

Don’t go here unless you have to. Planned a special dinner for my son’s birthday that was ruined by overcooked steaks, delayed/poor service and zero mention of a birthday that I informed them was the reason for our visit. Just disappointing all around. Atmosphere reads like a Holiday Inn banquet hall.

The experience was awful. We were treated very poorly. I wrote a lengthy review on google. I felt like I was treated like I didn’t mean anything. They didn’t value my time . I wouldn’t recommend any of my veteran or retired military to eat here. It was that bad.

Our server was Jai and he was absolutely wonderful. Pleasant and friendly and even cracked a few jokes. We went to dinner for my wife’s birthday and we were thrilled with the food and the experience! We both got a steak and got a few sides and had a decent amount of left overs. The tuna poke was so fresh and delightful! Great experience!! 10 stars!

We absolutely love having dinner here. The food is amazing. The touch of bringing one of their award-winning meatballs to each person upon sitting is great. They are absolutely delicious! I also appreciate the dress code at the restaurant.
