   The food was average. It wasn’t very warm. I had high hopes. Waitresses were lovely. It certainly wasn’t with £80 for 3 of us sadly.

   Service was exceptional, very friendly and nothing was too much to ask. Food took forever, over an hour for the starter , then a long wait for the main. Calamari starter definitely overcooked, but very good flavouring. Overall over priced for the quality on the day

   We had a lovely evening dinner and found all aspects too notch. The food was good quality and the quiet proportions for us. We had exceptional service from Sophie who was very attentive and also knowledgable about which wine to choose. The timings between courses was also spot on. All in all a very enjoyable experience and we will return.

   My husband had the pork which he really enjoyed but I had the salmon with noodles which was like eating rubber, so dry and tough. I didn't send it back as I was with friends that I had not seen for 8 years so felt uncomfortable.

   It was t any fish available from The menu. The wild mushroom pie was without any greens, carrots was burnt and potatoes undercooked. Otherwise the service was fantastic !

   Enjoyed our lunch today with friends after a lovely walk in Chatsworth . Good service and lovely comfortable surroundings. Tasty well presented food. Will definitely return.

   Such a lovely pub, staff are helpful but not that attentive. Food was expensive and poor. The calamari was embarrassing, the portion size and presentation woeful. Mains were overpriced, small and looked like microwave dinners. Half an hour wait for a starter and then another 20 mins for mains. There are other pubs in the village that are probably better options.

   Food was very poor for our evening meal, the worst meal I have had in a long time. The squid starter was very chewy, my pasta was bland and dessert (offered as a compensation for poor main) was unpleasant, baked Alaska, very poor quality. The prices being charged do not reflect the quality of the food being served. We also stayed for the night. Our room was OK, very tired with poor lighting, even the wall clock just needed new batteries. I understand that it's early January so after a busy festive period, but you are still taking people's money and not offering good value. Even the bar closed at 9.30pm because it was quiet!!! I will not visit again.

    Firstly the serving staff were lovely but the food was not. We ordered a white wine which was room warm when it came. We were given an ice bucket but it takes a long while to chill like this so had to ask for ice cubes. .the food took a very long time to come, when it did the only way to describe it was that it was burnt. We did let the waitress know who was very sorry and kindly gave us one free pudding. We later noticed that another couple were unhappy with their food and a larger table started passing around a chicken dish that they said smelled funny. As this was just after New Year can only assume the regular chef was off as the reviews we had seen had generally been good. Very disappointed for what we paid and it seems other customers that night felt the same.
