Welcome to the Devonshire Arms, Baslow
The Devonshire Arms, in the stunning Peak District National Park, is a stylish bar and restaurant, with 11 individually designed en suite double rooms.

Our talented executive chef, Darren Goodwin, and his team deliver mouthwatering dishes every day of the week, complemented by an extensive wine list, a choice of cask ales and European lagers, and a wide range of premium spirits.

We pride ourselves on our wine list, which includes many wines not available in other venues or on the high street, with over 35 wines that are available by the glass and bottle.

    Always love coming here and have stayed here before too which was fab. Even brought friends Sunday as we love it so much. Roast potatoes were a little hard like they'd been stood for too long and it took a while to get our drinks at the table but overall we loved it and so did they.

    I have already sent a private message to the Devonshire arms already. Don’t want write anything else. I just hope take on board what’s been sent already and it doesn’t happen to anyone else.

    Amazing experience from start to finish. All the staff were friendly and efficient, nothing was too much trouble. The food was of excellent quality.

    We arrived on time and were shown to our table by a really pleasant person. We ordered our food but it took 45 minutes to come!! A server came out with two plates of food and took it to the table next to ours. After some debate the server took the plates back and then after a couple of minutes reappeared and bought the food to us! However, the lamb was fine but the vegetables were cold and the plates were cold too! We told the server and she offered to bring us some hot vegetables but by then we were almost finished. The table next to us had exactly the same experience.

    Enjoyable lunch experience on Saturday, good service and pleasant knowledgeable staff. I was a bit disappointed with my food, the fritata was not freshly made and the new potatoes were served cold, which I did not expect. My husband said his food was satisfactory.

    Service was excellent. Ambiance was cold and univiting on a winters evening. A fire / radiator on would have helped. We had steak and chips. Steak nice but chips were like badly warmed up oven chips. It is a nice venue in a lovely location. We have been in the day and enjoyed the small plates which were very good.

    Enjoyed our 2-course Wednesday Supper Club meal. Good value, particularly with £10 discount off any bottle of wine. Staff welcoming and friendly. Service very good.
