Located at Mile 15.9 in historic Hope, Alaska, Dirty Skillet is the on-site restaurant for Hope Alaska Bear Creek Lodge. Our unique restaurant is a small return to the early 1900 mining days when prospectors found gold in the Resurrection and Six Mile creeks.

Dirty Skillet has a wood burning cook stove in the small lounge and a full glass wall that looks out over Bear Creek Pond. Guests can eat in the bar or lounge area, or enjoy their meal on the deck or by the pond.

We serve hearty, heaping, home-cooked style foods in an authentic old Alaskan mining venue.

The “live music” ruined everything. The solo guitarist was terrible, and so incredibly loud, that it overshadowed the meal.

It was a quick day trip from Anchorage to Hope, stopped by Dirty Skillet for some food which was amazing and enjoyed lovely performance by ukulele guy. We had so much fun, laughed a lot and left with full bellies. Definitely recommended and coming back.

Fantastic restaurant in middle of nowhere. Really great imaginative menu, great quality and atmosphere. Really must book as gets busy.

We LOVE the Dirty Skillet! Live music, great drinks and the food is consistently delicious . I would drive across the country for Chef Aprils rice balls. So YUMMY! 10/10 ⭐️

We were next to a large tourist group but otherwise enjoyed our dinner experience. They had kids running everywhere and appeared a bit rude.

The Dirty Skillet is our favorite restaurant in Hope! The menu is creative and the food is ALWAYS deliciously prepared. They offer a wide variety of local drinks for adults. Our server was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. 10/10, will eat there every time we are in Hope!
