We are the first on Oahu to dry age our steaks in house. We only use 100% USA Source Certified Steaks – that are all natural, with NO growth hormones, NO antibiotics, and NO steroids. Our high heat double broiler seals in the juices and enhances the natural flavors. We are offering traditional sides- and enhancing the menu with favorite classics from Sansei.

                                                                                            This was our second time going and it was not as great as the first time. We chose the same time as the last time. We felt our server this time was not as courteous as the last time. He was very cold, as if he didn’t want to be there. When I ordered my food, he did not recommend anything, no appetizers, no sides. By the time I realized my meal does not come with a starch I was 90% done with my meal. My daughter spilled her drink. By the time a replacement drink came, she was almost done with her meal. We did not feel like sticking around for dessert. One, maybe don’t make a reservation that late, because you may get less or a favorable experience being so close to the end of the evening, and two, hopefully you get someone like we had the first time. He was great. The food was still excellent as EVER! We will be back.

We came towards the end of the night, which in my experience working at restaurants, can be upsetting if you’ve had a long day on your feet. Our server did not make us feel rushed or awkward. He had a very pleasant demeanor. We felt like he took really good care of us. The food was to die for. The Asian Crab Filet Steak, medium rare, was amazing!! My husband got the butterfish. He loved his meal. We got the complete dinner which comes with a salad, a side of grilled zucchini and squash, and mash potatoes. We will definitely be coming back. FYI, for some reason they do not show the full menu of steaks that they offer, on the website. The menu on their website only shows the Sansei portion.

                                                                                            Do not take 9pm reservations if you are not prepared to provide service. Our waitperson literally waited at our table while we read the menu and kept telling us we needed to decide by 930 before the kitchen closed. My salad arrived undressed and missing ingredients. I was then told they were out of the dressing and I was offered alternate choices, none of which complimented the salad. No bread offered. No dessert offered. The steak, while good, was paired with sides that were mediocre, at best. Overall, an expensive disappointment on top of being made to feel unwelcome.

We miss the crab cakes. The only thing is the parking but I’m glad we found parking last night. You have the best aged steaks. So yummy!! See you again soon.
