Dobson & Parnell is a bustling, smart, reliable and grown-up restaurant on Newcastle’s vibrant quayside. Its understated elegant dining room adds a touch of Victorian glamour and comfort.

Specialising in perfectly-executed, refined European cuisine, using ethically-sourced local seasonal produce direct from nearby farms and markets, the sustainable kitchen specialises in preserving techniques such as curing, smoking, salting, brining and fermenting.

Had a gourmet experience (bought as a Christmas present for hubby). Wow! Cocktails fab, nibbles amazing, starters and mains incredibly generous. Desert one of the best ever (treacle tart). No room for our cheese course so staff kindly said we could have it next time we visit. Service here is always exemplary and having familiar faces to serve us is a bonus.

Food was absolutely outstanding, service was amazing and the restaurant is beautiful. Well worth the money and will definitely be back!

Jusy Perfect. Delicious GF Beef tartare, Roast Cod and Christmas Pudding & my husband had Game Terrine, Roast Turkey & Christmas Pudding. The staff are all so professional, kind & friendly. The Chefs amazing. Thank you everyone for a wonderful Sunday Lunch 😊

We have wanted to try here for a while and I honestly could not have asked for more. The food was amazing and full of flavour with every bite, the staff were polite and very attentive. I cannot wait to go back.

First time dining here and will definitely be back! Myself and my boyfriend came for a Christmas night out the weekend before Christmas and the food and service was flawless. Very friendly and attentive staff. Wish I got the name of our lovely waitress she was great! Food was excellent. The Santa hats on the table to wear and the welcome drinks were a lovley touch also. My boyfriend has a sensitivity/intolerance to cream in his food (ie sauces, creamy veg etc) and the attention to detail and substitutes offered by staff resulted in us both having a really enjoyable meal. We’ve never had such good service relating to his intolerance before so huge thanks for that! We will definitely be back!

Food was from set menu. Starter lovely main was good It was the drinking glasses that had an awful smell from dishwasher 3 glasses were sent back. So water was tainted fizz was tainted and I managed to change mine before pouring red wine Staff were very polite
