Located in the vibrant Williamsburg neighborhood, D.O.C. Winebar opened in 2002 and has been a small family business. Claudio Coronas and Rossana Patteri, owners, wanted to bring the simple foods of their homeland ( Sardinia ) to the United States.
D.O.C. stands for Denominazione di Origine Controllata.

My experience here was amazing the waiters are attentive and friendly and came quickly when called. The food was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere was gorgeous it made my first valentines with my partner very special and we will be coming back to this place. I absolutely recommend this place if you are looking for a beautiful rustic homey atmosphere.

We’ve been to DOC so many times that I can’t even count them. It’s always a success but last time there was a large party in the back room that focused most of the staff attention so service for us was very average (we waited a long time for our dishes, only 2 out of 5 came, after some more waiting we finally managed to grab staff attention for the rest and turned out that they forgot the other ones, we also struggled to get attention to get another bottle of wine when we wanted it…). We still had a very nice evening because the place is just nice with really good food and reasonable prices.

Great fresh authentic food. The place is cute and cozy. My only complaint is the service was extremely slow. We had to wait 30 minutes with a reservation and once we sat down no one helped us for another 30. They forgot about our wine so it didn’t come till after the appetizers and they even got some of our dishes wrong. This place would be 5 stars if they hired more wait staff and fixed some of the operations

This is one of my favorite spots of all time! The pastas are amazing—my favorites are the fregola, malloreddus and gnocchi. The servers are so welcoming and accommodating. The space is super cozy and feels like a Mediterranean oasis in the middle of Brooklyn! It’s my go-to spot for bringing friends!

The service was horrible, the server literally ripped the menus out of our hands. He brought the wrong glass of wine and then didn't change it. The food was better the last time I was here. I probably won't be back. The vibes were just so bad.

I loved this spot. The food was excellent, servers were nice (but overwhelmed), wine selection was reasonably priced, and the atmosphere felt like I was at a restaurant in the Sardinian hills.
