   This was one of the best surprises we had in our weekend trip to Miami. Service, food and ambiance were outstanding. It’s a relaxing atmosphere at the “backyard”, casual and cool. The food is surprisingly delicious. I do recommend Doce.

   Upon being greeted by our server, we were told they were out of pork (their menu is limited to begin with)! With that in mind, we order our entrees only to have the server return to tell us they’re also out of shrimp! My husband then asked for pepper. The server returns with salt and hot sauce and tells us he couldn’t find the pepper! What? Will not be returning nor recommending! Too bad because the patio was quaint and their guava mojito was delicious. That’s about it! The appetizer was fine and our entrees mediocre.

   We always enjoy going to doce provisions. Their food is so delicious and reasonably priced. They put a nice twist on Cuban cuisine. Will be back again.

   The restaurant from the outside is very unassuming but when you enter the courtyard, you are pleasantly surprised by a lush patio that is warmly lit. Our server was helpful and pleasant. Everything we ordered was delicious without exception. The only issue we had was that many of the appetizers and main dishes were not available.

   This restaurant has room for improvement. The food was really good, and the service was excellent; however the environment has a lot to be desired. The best place to sit is in the outdoors patio, but the blaring and consistent noise coming from what we guessed was some sort of generator, was totally unbearable. When we asked the manager if the noise was temporary or if it would continue on, we were informed that YES, the noise would continue on, and there was nothing they could do about it. That was a shame because the outdoor patio is actually very pleasant. We moved inside the restaurant, which is quite small, and the dining area is basically shared with the kitchen (separated by a counter) - Because the kitchen is "right there" and it needs ventilation, the ceiling fans were blasting air as fast as they could, and the two fans that are located in the dining area are connected to the those in the kitchen, so most of the tables are affected by the blasting force of air, which makes any dining experience quite uncomfortable. Ultimately, we found a table that was less affected by the fans, and were finally able to enjoy our dinner. We ordered the tostones and guacamole, the avocado salad, the pork buns, and the Ropa Vieja. All these dishes were very good and tasty - I liked the fact that nothing was "greasy". We also ordered the crispy rice "aji tuna" but we did not really like that dish, I would not order it again. For desert we ordered the flan that was really good. All in all, the food was great, and the service was very good too, the servers were courteous and attentive to our needs throughout the evening. My only recommendation is for the restaurant to make an effort to resolve the noise in the patio and to separate the fans in the dining room from those in the kitchen so that guests can enjoy their meal without being subjected to air blasting over their meals/heads.

   Yummy food and lovely time. Went with my 85, 89 and 96 year old “party animal” aunts LOL and they were so accommodating. The ladies loved the modern take on all their favorite Cuban dishes. Thanks Valentina, our waitress :)

   It’s an interesting twist on Cuban food. Very good flavors. You can’t get beans though, but they make up for it and creativity. I love the mahi and the skirt steak entrées. The guac and tuna over crispy rice appetizers were also delicious

    So wonderful to go to restaurant where everything was perfect. This unassuming, neighborhood restaurant has it all, amazing flavors, innovative menu, friendly service, and great atmosphere. Will be coming back to try each of their fabulous selections.
