   Food is excellent but prices for ancillary items are very high. $12 for a house cab, $12 for a shot of Bailey’s in a coffee (plus $4 for the coffee), $11 for a small Caesar salad. $180 for 2 entrees, 2 salads, 4 house wines, and 2 coffees.

   This is one of my pasta-go-to restaurants in Charlotte. I've been several times over the years and never disappointed.

   We had a perfect dinner! Food was excellent. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. Now consider this one of our favorite restaurants.

   I was here about a year ago and I felt it was pretty good and the service was excellent. Not this time. The food was good not great. I mean I had the chicken Parm, my wife had the Penne ala Vodka. Same dishes we had at Little Mamas for a lot less. The quality was about the same. I would even say that the chicken parm was better at little Mamas as the chicken parm here was burned around the edges. My wife’s Penne was good and a reasonable portion. We also had the Limoncello cake. It was outstanding but a rather small portion. The service was just horrible. The person that was assisting was also managing the reservations and sitting people down so we did not get her full attention. We wanted more bread and he had to ask another waiter because she would not stop by and when we finally got it they just set on the corner of the table without even looking at us. It even took to long to ask for dessert as no one was stopping by.. I guess we will not be coming back. There are way to many options in charlotte to have to suffer through bad service and high prices.

   I called two hours before my reservation to cancel because my relationship had just ended. They wouldn’t let me cancel without charging me $40 so I had to sit there on Valentine’s Day and have a meal by myself for 20 minutes. I’d work on that policy

   I have never had worse service in my life. Our server whose name I will not include in this review was unbelievably rude to me and my friend. I think he was mad that these two women shared a meal thus making our bill less. When we asked for dessert Menus, he told us that there was somebody waiting for our table. We had only been there an hour and five minutes and I asked if there was a time limit and he said that there were a lot of people waiting to take our seat. He slapped the dessert menu in front of us. We decided to just leave. We will not be going back. We wrote an email to the restaurant and they never responded.

   We absolutely LOVE Dolce..... just like home cooking and also our frequent visits to Italy. Their value is excellent in terms of quality AND price... and honestly, you feel like you are in your Italian family's home enjoying a fabulous meal...... The selection of Italian wines is superb. To a person, staff and management are first-class...... we could eat there every night! If you have not had the opportunity to enjoy Dolce...... absolutely encourage you to go have a special evening, a fun date night or just for any reason.
