    No photos, but the presentation of food is definitely Instagram-worthy. We were seated at a communal table for eight, but with only six of us, it was like having our own table. Our server was delightful, efficient and knew the menu. We ordered the radicchio salad to share (big enough for three), squid ink/scallop pasta, branzino and the artichoke torte. All were beautifully plated and delicious. This is my new favorite Italian restaurant. I’m picky, so didn’t have a favorite until last night.

    Lovely lunch. Everything was delicious. Service was attentive but not over bearing, especially since we were talking/catching up a-lot. Pretty cold, even inside, but it was a very cold day and the place wasn’t very full either.

    They sat us at 2 but told us the kitchen closes at 2:30. It just felt very rushed and disorganized. I don’t understand how I was able to make a reservation when the kitchen is closing so soon after we arrive. Normally when I go to a restaurant I expect them to stay open the entire meal.

    I've visited Donato on a couple of occasions... for a birthday and a dinner with friends at the bar. Food is generally tasty but a bit on the pricey side when you add in a few side orders to fill out your meal. The dinner hour gets busy and you will need a reservation on Friday and Saturday nights or have to wait. The food is good but not exceptional. I think Belotti on lower College is where you want to go for exceptional Italian food... but it's harder to get in and reservations need to be made in advance.

    We had a yummy appetizer and salad, bread with tapenade, two pasta dishes, a carafe of white wine, and two desserts to top it off. Along with a lively conversation it was a fine evening.

    We had a wonderful birthday celebration at Donatos. This is the perfect place for a celebration - there were several other birthdays that night too. We ended up ordering several small and large plates so we could try a lot of different dishes. Each dish was excellent and unique. We especially loved the Baccalao, the charcuterie board, the Mezze pasta and the lamb. Highly recommend!
