   The food and service were amazing. the restaurant itself is very open so it was a little louder than I expected and not the quiet ambience I wanted from a higher priced restaurant. The drinks were so good and the food was to die for..everything was cooked perfectly. They kind of sat us back in a corner and wondered why they weren't sitting the people in the booths...no biggie since the service and food was so good.

   We had a wonderful experience and are considering becoming regulars because of how pleasant the atmosphere is. It’s local and near our house… Definitely worth a try!

   We have dined at Donovan’s several times since it first opened in 2020. We were excited for a steakhouse to open in Brandon, FL The menu at that time was great as it offered grilled oysters and wild game meat. Covid definitely did a disservice to the restaurant as it did to many businesses. Since Covid, the menu has continually changed and the quality of the food has suffered, especially the steaks. We don’t know if the chef is relying solely on the sauces they have to flavor the steak as they taste like they were just removed from the freezer, thrown on the grill or broiler and had maybe melted butter brushed on them. No salt, no pepper or any seasoning of any kind. The appetizers were good and flavorful as were the sides and desserts. Drinks from the bar were good and the service was excellent. If they could only get the chef to understand that at the prices they are charging, the steaks need to be seasoned while being prepared and stop relying on the sauces. The steaks at Longhorn or Texas Roadhouse have more flavor at a much lower price. We will refrain from visiting Donovan’s again for the near future and go back to trekking across town to Charley’s. Prices are about the same however, Charley’s knows how to season their steaks.

   This was not my first time but it will be my last. Yes it was a Friday night and Valentines Day but my dish was horrible. I left almost 90% of my dinner. Unfortunately Donovan’s was my last choice and my reservation was made months ago. I went home and ordered a pizza which was in the end more enjoyable and 80% cheaper.

   John the owner was amazing and our experience was extremely memorable. For all those that don’t know, all military personnel get a 20% discount. We will definitely be going back to support this great business in our local area. Please spread the word.

   First time experiencing this restaurant. We decided to try a new restaurant for my Moms 93td birthday celebration. To avoid crowds and a lot of noise we decided to go around 4. Young lady was accommodating by suggesting an area that wouldn’t be as loud in the restaurant which we appreciated. Food took a while to come out but it’s not fast food right and they may have been changing shifts. Overall the experience and food was good. We will return!

    One of our favorite places to eat especially for our special occasions. Chiron, our server has was absolutely fantastic the two times we’ve had the chance to sit with him. Top notch service! Great food! Highly recommend.
