Welcome to Down the Hatch - EDINBURGH!

We are a diner focusing on diner style food with big flavour, fresh ingredients, huge taste and all things Canadian!!

Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult and are not permitted from 8pm onwards.

We have a 10 minute grace period for your booking. Please give us a call if you are running late for your booking.

Your table will be booked for 1 hour 15 minutes for bookings of up to 6 people; and 1 hour 45 minutes for bookings of 7+.

We have a limited number of outside tables. These are not bookable at the moment and are on a first come, first served basis.

Last bookings are 9.15pm as our kitchen closes at 9.45pm, 7 days a week.

    Great food, I’ve been to South Queensferry a few times and it’s just as good but was a bit disappointed there was no brunch skillet type options

    My boyfriend I were delighted with the outstanding service we received. The food was served very quick and it was delicious. The staff were very friendly also

    This is the first time we have been to down the hatch and it won't be the last food staff excellent would be to friends and family

    Really enjoyed our meal. Much preferred Antigua Street to South Queensferry one which seemed claustrophobic and noisy. Staff were great in both but Antigua has the edge. Will definitely return and can highly recommend.
