   We have eaten here numerous times, and really like the restaurant. Our server Michael was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Prices have gone up a bit, and there was only one seafood entree available. The food was tasty, but we would have liked for the sides (pomme frites and mac and cheese ) to have been served hotter. We actually sent back the mac and cheese, which was re-fired but still came out luke warm. Otherwise, we enjoyed our evening there.

   Once again a fantastic meal! This is becoming our go to when we have family in town or friends we want to take out in Winston!

   Our waiter, Nikky was very gracious and attentive during our visit to The Downtown Grille. The Apple Brandy burger with fries surpassed expectations with the caramelized onions on top and house-made aioli. Delicious. Every visit to this restaurant is a treat.

   What makes this place so good is the fact that the chef and his team source from local purveyors. Local meats, fruits and vegetables are so much better than using a food supplier like Sysco. You can’t beat the quality and flavor of local goods and this chef/team know how to elevate the cuisine.

   Beautiful restaurant with very courteous and knowledgeable bartenders. The food was very good however the service was mediocre at best. Our waiter basically came to our table, no personal introduction and immediately asked us if we were ready to order? What? Did they intend for our party of 4 to only be there for a 1/2 hour? Also, we were seated close to a patio where it was fifty some degrees outside but they apparently insisted on catering to one couple who was out there. Make no sense to me as it was a constant draft during our entire dinner. Overall, the food outweighed everything else and may or may not come back. Well, maybe just to eat at the bar!

   Food, as usual, was well prepared, fresh, and good tasting. The service was not great. We waited a long time for our drinks and the food was served out of order. A bit overpriced when compared against comparable restaurants in the area. Overall, the restaurant tries hard, but they need to work on their consistency.

   Thank you so much for your honest feedback. We have a new menu coming out tomorrow and it has specifically been designed for higher level of consistency. We do source our products from 13 different local farms and therefore it is a little more expensive, but we feel the quality is far superior.    Fabulous restaurant! the food was delicious from the hangar steak to the salmon..all cooked to perfection! When we first got there the restaurant was a tiny bit loud, but got better when a large table left! Loved it!!!!

    The Downtown Grille truly sets the bar high for Winston-Salem dining! From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is refreshing and inviting—perfect for a memorable meal. The steak was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor, and paired beautifully with wines expertly recommended by the knowledgeable staff. Honestly, I can’t imagine why anyone would choose Ryan’s when Downtown Grille offers better service and superior food quality at a similar price point.
