Welcome to DOYA! We are a modern Aegean Meze + Bar restaurant in Wynwood. Chef Erhan Kostepen (formerly of Mandolin) offers plates to share, prepared over wood and coal fire. Besides a beautifully decorated dining room, we offer a theater kitchen with counter seats where guests can interact with the chefs directly. Our outdoor seating is a garden oasis unlike any other in Wynwood/ Miami.

Quite possibly the worst dining experience I've had in Miami in a long time. To start, upon entering the restaurant (at 7:13 for our 7:15 res) the hostess told us she gave away our table already, but insisted we would be the next to be seated. We proceeded to wait for 45+ minutes (while watching other groups get seated) until finally the manager got involved and got us a table. The food was good, but not spaced out at all. Every dish arrived at the same time and it was a total mess. For a restaurant focused on mezes, I expected some order to the courses and the basic common sense that 1 small table can’t hold 6+ dishes at once. Additionally, they charged us $12 (without asking or alerting us) for 3 pieces of pita with the dips we ordered. Had I known this would happen, I would’ve been perfectly happy with just the free bread that came at the start. The manager comped us 15% for our troubles, which was nice, but unfortunately the bad experience was not over yet! We had valeted our car at the restaurant and called for it in advance (as instructed). When we got outside, the valet told us our car was on the way out... a few mins later we see him on the phone and sounding a bit concerned - he asked us again about the make/model, color and license plate cause his colleague couldn't locate our car (the one he originally claimed was already on way over). We happened see the car across the street parked... the valet hadn’t even give the right keys to the man who was supposedly getting our car. We pointed out the car and he then offered us the key (insinuating that we should just go get the car ourselves) and said “that'll be $20." We questioned the charge, given his confusion/lack of completing the job, so he finally got us our vehicle and off we went. The bad definitely outweighed the good here. If you want Aegean food, you’ve got many other good options in Miami that are far better tasting, have much better service and are more reasonably priced. Go elsewhere!!

We really enjoyed our meal and the ambience at Doya. We will definitely go back. I was disappointed you did not offer a gluten free flat bread or other bread.

I had high hopes for Doya, but unfortunately, the experience fell short in several areas. Here’s a breakdown of my visit: Service: While the staff was polite, there was a lack of coordination. Our waiter had to come back twice to inform us that the fish we initially ordered was no longer available. This kind of mismanagement disrupted the flow of the meal and gave the impression that the kitchen wasn’t properly stocked or organized. Parking: The valet service was outrageously overpriced. $40 just for parking felt like a complete rip-off. It leaves a sour note. Overall Experience: The atmosphere was pleasant, and the menu seemed promising, but logistical hiccups and hidden costs detracted from the enjoyment of the evening.
