We are passionate about blending local and exotic flavours to create a unique plant based dining experience.

We are a community interest company, invested in providing accessible workshops to engage our community in the ethos of LIFE.MADE.BETTER Our workshops are designed to engage our local community by using food to promote and focus on health, well-being & sustainability. Really charming service. Great choice of dishes if more focused on meat substitutes than we expected (seitan, pea protein sausage). That said, on a cold evening, the comfort food menu of pies, sausage and mash was just the ticket. The sticky toffee pud was exceptional. The wine list includes organic and biodynamic wines, which is a plus.

Really enjoyed our meal out to Dr Legumes in Folkestone. Menu online was different to what was presented in the night, but actually superceded our expectations. The food was absolutely delicious, great value for money. What was even better was, they had desserts and you had more than one option. The staff were amazing, attentive, polite, considerate (I put in for a special request, which was fulfilled.) Just overall was really impressed with everything.

The food was tasty, the portion and price were fine. However, I was tempted by the menu on the website, which had a large selection. On site, it turned out that there were only two options for lunch: a burger and a sandwich. Unfortunately, that's not enough. We ordered burgers, which were tasty. An update of the website and an up-to-date menu would be useful. Unfortunately, this lack of good information discouraged me from coming back and affected the overall assessment. The service was nice and able to explain everything. I thought this restaurant would be a great experience, but I was wrong.

Great variety of colourfully presented small plates each with a unique and playful theme. Some flavours were quite subtle when I we might have been expecting more punch, but on the whole the meal was tasty and satisfying.

Lovely experience. Food was prepared, cooked and presented with skill and love. Service equally fantastic. Will definately return and recommend.

The service wasn't as good as previously experienced, sadly. The food was supposed to be designed for 'sharing' plates, but I'm not sure that some of the dishes leant to this. Very tasty food, and always a great experience, just wasn't at its best.

Dr Legumes prepared the most scrumptious sharing supper for a birthday celebration and I can't think of anywhere else so perfect! Delicious, innovative vegan menu in an uplifting environment, all imbued with the generosity of Lee and James.
