   My husband and I enjoy Drifthouse and go there several times a year. Our meals were very good. Sadly I wanted the Cacio e Pepe which was not available tonight. There were other great dishes to choose from

   Drinks were weak. Cosmo had lime and bitters in it, couldn’t drink it. Service was by young untrained staff. Food delivered to table prior to finished plates being removed. Request to be seated away from window was ignored. Had to wait additional fifteen minutes for a proper seating. We eaten here two other times and we had better luck, but for a price fixed $100.00 dinner plus liquor, this was not an enjoyable dinner.

   Victoria was great. Very accommodating, pleasant. The other maitre d’ was indifferent and condescending to Victoria in front of customers, which was very unprofessional. When we reminded Victoria that we had asked for a table by the fireplace, he rudely stepped in and said “Just sit where you want.” The food was disappointing. My girlfriend ordered the mussels. Half of them them were closed and many of the shells were empty. The server brought another order, but they were not much better. The lobster was overcooked. I did not feel well that night after eating (I had the short rib). The prices were exorbitant for what we had. The best things were the drinks and desserts. I have been to Drifthouse many times (we are year-round Sea Bright residents), and I am even in your VIP program. Not the Valentine’s Day experience we had expected. We could have gone anywhere. Don’t think we’ll be coming back for dinner. We may come back to bar after dinner somewhere else.

   The Drifthouse gave us a most memorable Valentine experience. We were seated at a prime table with a view of the ocean and the pool. Although off season, we had the feel that wait staff through top management were there to make this the wonderful time it actually was for us. Mealwas excellent! The seafood platter was fresh and cooked to yield greatest taste. Having to choose between two wonderful pies, the General Manager Hafid Elboji, solved my predicament by giving me BOTH! Serve throughout the meal by Vincent was flawless, anticipating our every need, and resolving it in anticipation. This is a high spot of Jersey Shore dining. I expect to be returning often!

   The chef was amazing. The food was outstanding, and the staff, Afid, Nancy and Lilly made sure our dining experience was nothing less than spectacular. They treated us like VIP’s as they always do. The decor is beautiful. The chef even came out and asked us how our dinner was. He really cares about his cooking and wants to make dining with them a great experience. Thank you.

   Delicious food, calamari appetizer delish and plentiful; lobster dumplings unassumingly so good. Same with the special of the day, fish and chips, also plentiful and very good, and spaghetti with clams. Extra special treat was the 3 piece trio who play at the Drifthouse every other Thursday. Great music sets!
