Duner's, brought to you by Ten Course Hospitality, is a casual fine dining restaurant located five miles west of Charlottesville in the village of Ivy, Virginia. Our menu changes daily, allowing our chefs to use the best ingredients seasonally available. We have an extensive wine list, a full bar and a very experienced service staff. Established in 1983, our goal has always been to serve great food in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Our portions are generous, our ingredients are the finest and we want everyone who walks in the door to become a regular customer!

    Too busy to care anymore. I have been here many times but the last two visits proved disappointing. It was our 10th wedding anniversary (so noted in the reservation). We had to send the NY strip back for being undercooked and when the butternut squash finally came out, the squash was undercooked as well. I am not the type of customer to be so picky but I know how to cook and these were legitimate complaints. Server was too busy to care. When she presented the bill she casually said happy anniversary. Not going back anymore. If you want customer service and a great meal, go to the Old Ivy Inn. They know how to run a restaurant!!

    Duners had been suggested to us by someone at one of the Charlottesville inns. I'm so glad we took her up on that! The restaurant reminded us of some of the Napa Valley restaurants we have frequented on our California days. Great food, knowledgeable and friendly staff and fun atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

    Make sure you try the cocoanut cake for dessert! The rockfish is very good.

    Duners was outstanding. The food was excellent and our waitress Kayla gave us extraordinary service.

    Last night we had oysters as an appetizer (particularly good last night), and stuffed rainbow trout and polenta as an entrée. The trout and polenta were good but not as flavorful as we had expected. The service by Lynn was exceptional, as usual, and the friendliness of all the servers was wonderful--also, as usual.

    As usual the food and service were superb. We sat on the porch which is new, it was excellently outfitted.

    Unfortunately, when I made reservations for last night, the new menu had not been posted on-line and I did not realize that the menu had been truncated (apparently for a wedding rehearsal dinner). Anyway, there were no appealing entrees last night, so we had salad and bread (both delicious, as usual) and appetizers. The mussels were particularly good last night with a thicks and adherent sauce. Service from Lynn was excellent, as usual. It would be nice to post menus in a timelier fashion so better decisions can be made about reservations. As I've said here MANY times, we are big fans of Duner's. Yet, sometimes nothing on the menu for a certain time appeals, and it would be nice to know that prior to going to the restaurant.

    We ALWAYS have a great meal at Duners. It is ALWAYS our “go to restaurant “ when we are in Charlottesville.

    Excellent salmon, mussels, crab cakes and beef. Ice cream sandwich scrumptious. A wonderful night out.
