Ilan Cohen is a self-taught chef who began his career in Jerusalem, Israel more than 20 years ago.
Along with his wife Lauren they opened Falafel Bistro & Wine Bar in 2007, DVASH’s sister location, and has been serving authentic-Israeli cuisine to the South Florida community for more than a decade.

DVASH, located in Boca Raton, showcases a modern twist on classic mediterranean cuisine. Imagined by Cohen’s daughter, Anabel Hochberg, the menu is designed for sharing and provides guests with the opportunity to travel the culinary world through their taste buds, using only the freshest seasonal ingredients and of course, a little bit of honey.

    Love Dvash! Great food and selection. I feel you need to sit outside otherwise you smell the acrylic from the nail salon next door. Will always return.

    Well-prepared and tasty Mediterranean fare. The roasted turmeric cauliflower was a great starter, and the Majadara was superb. The lamb skewers were different than expected, not lamb cubes but more like lamb sausage, and the meat was underspiced for my taste. All in all, a solid restaurant addition to an area already well endowed with eating choices. Would definitely return.

    The food is exceptional! If you enjoy Israeli food… this place is a must! Make sure to make reservations in advance. They book up quickly! Cannot wait to go back!
