   Honestly I would’ve given this five stars BUT…Valentine’s Day we were five minutes into eating when we were told we had 20 minutes in which to finish as the table had been booked. There was NO time limit disclosed when I called to make sure the reservation was good to go. The place was not busy when we arrived for the last hour of happy hour, and had been there not quite an hour and a half. They did come after again to tell us we could stay later, but we had already finished eating and just wanted to leave because we felt rushed.

I realize how unsettling it must have been to learn of another reservation while you were still dining, and I apologize for the discomfort caused. I wasn’t aware you were still eating when I communicated the next reservation to your server. I should have been more considerate, and I apologize for not informing you earlier, as that is always our aim. Although I offered an extra 90 minutes, I understand this may not have fully resolved your frustration. We value your feedback and will work to improve our service.    The Queen Bee pizza didn’t disappoint. It was amazing. Kennedy was professional, attentive and charming.

   Andrew our server was terrific. We can always rely on Earls to make our favourite dishes just the way we like them. However it seems prices keep going up and portion sizes down.

   The promotional cards I bought (did you know they expire soon and you can only use one per table- I didn't) dictated another visit to Earls , despite our last poor meal. Well .. another tail of woe: 1) the meals were cool to cold when they arrived - the rice on the salmon dish was actually cold and the unappealing glob of solid truffle butter on the cool steak obviously never melted. 2) my guest , who ordered the truffled steak , was assured by the waiter that the cook (I wouldn't call him a chef) could provide a side dish of vegetables (beside the broccolini) , which never appeared. 3) despite being told and even written down by the waiter of my guest's severe strawberry allergy , the creme brûlée arrived with strawberries , and the replacement never - arrived despite us finishing our dessert and coffee! Whatever has changed at Earl's --has not been for the better.

   Hi Ron, we really appreciate your concern and are so sorry that you did not have an evening out that you were hoping for. Cold food is definitely unacceptable and the allergy was a huge miss too. It's unfortunate that we did not get the opportunity to remake your dishes, and the discount you received definitely does not compensate adequately for the overall experience you received, but I hope that you can appreciate that mistakes do happen and we are truly sorry. We use moments like these to learn as a team and we are committed to improvement. The promo cards are valid until March 31st, so if you do choose to take advantage, we would love to see you again.    OK .. we usually enjoy Earls and even buy hundreds of dollars in gift cards , but…. We met family for a holiday supper, having reservations in the dining room ( tried to sit us in noisy bar) and then ordered a steak and truffles pasta (4 out of 5people) . We even pointed to the picture on the menu , but when the food arrived, I questioned the size of the supposed 6 ounce steak as advertised. Indeed , the waitress admitted the steak was 3 ounces , saying this was the size the manager advised, even though the picture and description on the menu said 6. Concessions were made ($4 off the &45 price of the meal) and one free dessert offered. (BTW .. the crème brûlée was awful .. caramel pudding). The $27 dollar glass of wine was delicious though!

   The service was fabulous as soon as we entered the restaurant! Food was served quickly and the food that was supposed to be served hot was hot! I had the Hunan Kung Pao with 4 hunan peppers and it was wonderful!

    Medicine Hat Earls is one of the best. They are always supporting local organizations. Love the plant based options! I try to get all groups to eat here so that I can try all of them! We were able to get a reservation very quickly.
