For an establishment I’ve visited probably a hundred times in just the last 5 years this was one of my most disappointing experiences at Earls Metrotown. Both sushi rolls I ordered, which I was excited to order because I’d had the Aburi Salmon Press only 48 hrs earlier at a different earls location with friends & thought it was just incredible, were horrible quality with stale rice. For sushi rolls that are “gourmet” & priced approx $20 EACH, I’d expect the high quality I enjoyed at the other Earls location 2 days before that left my mouth watering. Then not to mention I’m seated in the lounge area as I requested, during daytime which was not very busy considering there were about 5+ servers AND a couple managers, in that tiny area of the lounge, I wasn’t approached by a server until I’d been sitting for at least 15 minutes which is unacceptable at an establishment I’ve been spending $ for about 25 years. Each roll also took about 15-20 mins to make so why then was rice not checked for tasting day old? I’m Asian & grew up loving rice & living in Vancouver where finding a fresh sushi place is the easiest thing to do. Do better Earls.

The server, the vibe, seats etc is all great. Food not bad at all. The nose level was not too loud. Its a nice spot to come and have a night out

Great customer service. Our servers were Reza & Bien-Sa. Kudos to them. Extra kudos to Reza who left a nice touch at the end by leaving a bday surprise for our 19yr old on his bday. Thank you !

We had another great visit, and met a new server named Georgia, who provided excellent service. Thanks once more to the kitchen, and bar staff, for providing excellent food and drinks.

A really nice table layout and setup. Seats are super comfortable, tables are far enough apart that you can walk between them and you aren't abutted right beside another table, which I tend to like. Servers are exceptional; food is alwas delicious, prices are current for the time we are in and you can expect to pay at least $50/person, probably closer to $75. I had steak frites and shared the bourbon pecan pie (it's huge!) and both were super tasty; steak was cooked to perfection.

We had a large table and our server was so awesome. We had a toddler with us and she brought us her own school highlighters and a piece of paper so he could draw. Food was great

Food was luke warm. Martinis were poorly made. Tonight’s bartenders didn’t know how to make them at all. Disappointing for sure.

The reservation system was fantastic. I had to call multiple times to keep increasing the number of people and every time, people who took the calls were very friendly and kind and quickly took care of the changes.
