   We use to go to East Side Mario frequently and food was always good. After our last experience, I don’t believe our family would like to visit this restaurant. Service was ok but Quality of the food was poor, no taste, no flavour. If I compare to other Italian restaurants like Scaddabush food will rate 4 here will be 1.

   Usually I like East Side Mario’s but they were clearly understaffed tonight. Had a reservation at 7pm got sat abruptly and then waited 18 minutes for a server to show up (because we waved them down) the server never brought waters or bread, took some drink orders and disappeared for another 15-20 minutes. She wasn’t able to answer any of our questions, our pasta came with a thick chunk of butter in the middle which she said would melt. But the pasta came cold so it never melted… my meal was delicious so I can’t complain there, and the drinks were okay, I wouldn’t recommend the peach Bellini because you pour the sparkling wine in yourself and spend a good 5 minutes going back and forth waiting for the fizz to chill out. Moral of the story, don’t go on holidays. This is otherwise and nice restaurant with some great food. And usually a favourite spot of ours. But Valentine’s Day was brutal.

   Getting a seat was quick and easy. Food came out quick and was really good. Our booth wall was filthy from days prior. Salt and pepper shakers as well as menu were Gungy.  drink service was way too slow. 25 minutes passed since the waitress asked if we were done and getting our bill.

   My kids love this place but each time we’ve been they manage to add an extra drink charge (soda) to bill and then claim they didn’t realize the mistake. It happened again this time and I didn’t feel like looking cheap so I just accepted it. Plus the service is really slow and the food is not great. I probably wouldn’t recommend this place because for the same price you can eat much better food elsewhere.

   Server Brittany was outstanding tonight. The best server I’ve had at any restaurant by far. We arrived and sat down and she brought warm fresh bread to the table to greet is - both of us were starving, so this was quite impressive. She was was overall just great! Very attentive to our needs - she never sits down and slacks. Other servers should take notes from Brittany. She is very personable, friendly and humble. We had an enjoyable time tonight at ESM!

   Considering this was new year’s eve and the restaurant was packed. We were seated fairly quickly under 15 min wait with open table reservation. Apps and kids food came out at a good time except for the main that took a little bit. Again this is new years eve and its packed so really not stressing about it. Food is good taste and cooked! They gave out (ginger ale) shots to fake celebrate a countdown which was fun. Servers were friendly and very helpful. Overall, a very good experience despite being packed.

   I love this location in Oakville. I was greeted promptly and shown to my reserved table. My dinner companion arrived a few minutes later and our server was quick and brought our food out in great time. Food was plentiful and our server was attentive. Loved the experience.

   Great food and atmosphere for time out with friends. Be sure to use OpenTable to reserve a table on weekends.

    It was very busy. They didn’t do anything for my birthday. They didn’t come over and ask how the food was.
