Le Eating House 1849 rend hommage au patrimoine culinaire animé de Hawaii avec un clin d'œil aux restaurateurs tels que Peter Fernandez qui, selon ce qu'on raconte, a ouvert un des premiers restaurants à Hawaii vers le milieu des années 1800s, l'appela The Eating House et puisait ses ressources de ce que pouvaient lui offrir les agriculteurs, les éleveurs, les glaneurs et les pêcheurs locaux.     It's been a long while since I last came here. I believe is was shortly before 2019's unfortunate pandemic. Anyways, my expectations were surpassed from my memories. The food and service tonight were quite excellent and my birthday dinner guest really enjoyed herself. I, myself, only had 2 of the drinks and had a little of all the food except the Seafood Medley and Oysters. Spiced Apple Crisp: 9/10. I personally really enjoyed this. It had a nice crisp crust and the apples were still not too cooked or soft so it had great textures. The mix of flavors went well together for a great finish to the meal. Melting Hot Chocolate Souffle: 10/10. This is the trademark dessert that should always be eaten at least once. I can't describe how happy I get when I have some (or all). Must have. Coffee Creme Brulee: 7/10. It was good, but we had the Souffle and the crisp. It was outdone and I felt bad for it. I had good flavor and the Biscotti was a nice addition. Espresso Martini: 8/10. I'm not really a coffee drinker so I don't often try something like this. I personally could drink several if it wasn't work in the morning tomorrow. Butterfish Kamameshi: 9/10. Not a traditional kamameshi. It does have the right amount of ingredients to be considered a kamameshi but they are all on top of the rice. I felt this was a pretty interesting take and the butterfish itself was quite tasty. Tender Beef Shortribs: 9/10. Like the name states, they are very tender (boneless!) Shortribs with a nice vegetable Medley. I admit that I had a larger portion of this dish compared to the others. Pineapple Martini: 10/10. This is the right mix of flavors and the Pineapple itself has a nice kick since it is marinated in alcohol. This drink can be dangerous and you'll feel the alcohol later! Lychee Martini: 7/10. Good and refreshing. Unfortunately, it does not compare to the Pineapple or Espresso Martinis. The service was quite attentive even through their busy night and often cleared our plates

    Conveniently located in the International Market. Large open patio seating with live music most nights. Great selection of small plates for sharing. The Manila Clams were one of the best entrees.

    Once again, I am back and starting out with the Mongolian ribs. They never disappoint. Unfortunately, they were all out of the burrata salad. The rainbow sushi roll was outstanding and abundant. Fabulous wine choices. Attentive and knowledgeable staff, and a great place for al fresco dining!

    Never a disappointment with the consistent quality of food and innovative drinks, especially those ribs. The fresh catch with choice of preparation is another gem. A must visit when we travel to Honolulu.

    Was really turned off from walk in. Dirty tables not being cleaned. Just had an off putting feeling all around. Food was ok but very overpriced especially the bottle wines.
