We arrived on time for our reservation. There was a definite stench of fish in the air; at our table there were hundreds of gnats flying around us. No one acknowledged for the first five minutes (they weren't that overly busy given the early time so must be short staffed) we decided to forgo eating there. Very disappointing; we've been many times over the years but not in the past 6 months or so - guessing they might have new ownership again....hopefully they can correct these things soon.

made a reservation for 8:30, the lobby was filled with reservation holders, we were told 45 min wait. It made me look like a bad husband.

The food was great. However, since went on a holiday, the service was really slow. I would usually be okay with this, but I think everyone around me was saying similar things and having similar experiences.

For Valentine’s day, we had to wait over 30 minutes past our reservation time in a crowded lobby area and people who were seated waited over 15 minutes just for water. They were busy with take-out orders and couldn’t get food to tables, so tables weren’t turning over. I don’t understand why they didn’t stop doing take-out given the unhappy crowd. We walked after 35 minutes.

The food was good, but our wait staff either had too many tables or was just slow to take our order. The decor was lacking but the tables were set well. The sushi was fresh and well presented. We would go back if it were closer to our house.

The food was delicious but the service really bad, when been waiting in the table more thank 15 minutes just to get a drink The waitress was very slow and when she went to take our order she told us that it was already the last call in the kitchen and in the drinks. Our reservation was at 9:00pm but we arrived at 8:45pm and they didn't serve us the food until 9:30pm (45 minutes later) because she didn't take the order, then she charged us in two tickets because she said that the bartender was already leaving and he had to grab his tip. The service is very bad but the food was delicious

Visited on Christmas evening. We arrived and stood at the host stand as a young lady was cleaning the menus. Stood there for several minutes before she ever acknowledged our presence. Once she did she walked off just leaving is there. Eventually someone returned and we were seated. After about 10 minutes of waiting someone came by and said someone would be with us in about 5 minutes. We asked if we could get some water in the meantime. Thankfully our server was faster than that. He was very nice and you could tell he was sincerely trying - but the fact is things were not being run in an orderly fashion The appetizer was forgotten and came out with the sushi. The 10 piece chefs choice wasn’t 10 different pieces. But 5 pairs of two. That was disappointing I was once told by a sushi master that the chirashi is how to judge a sushi chef. This was disappointing. It wasn’t beautiful and there was a layer of pickles under the sashimi. And the rice was the most unappetizing I’ve had. It tasted and felt more like what you’d get from a microwave than sushi rice. No vinegar undertones. And it fell apart. The salmon roll wasn’t a salmon roll. It was more of a California roll but with salmon. The quality of sushi wasn’t high. It looked better than the industrial stuff you get at a cheapo or all you can eat place, but had poor texture and bland flavor. The calamari appetizer was fine though. All and all not a pleasant experience. I want to be clear, everyone was super nice. They just need better training.
