    I’m extremely disappointed with the experience we had at Eddie Merlot this evening. The service was so bad. It took forever to get our food. I asked for extra dressing for the salad but never received it. It took forever to bring the dinner out and when we got it , my steak was not prepared at the temperature I ordered . I asked for medium well and I got rare at best. They took it back and brought it back after 15 minutes or so and it was still not cooked medium well. The rest of my family finished their food by the time they brought my food back. I didn’t even eat anything after that. I just packed my food and left. We were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and our son’s birthday. Worst experience after an expensive bill. They took my food off of the bill but they ruined our evening. I don’t think I will ever go back.

    Where to begin. Waited over 5 minutes for server to come to the table. Excessive long wait for Old Fashion that had no garnish. Another long wait for bread that was “ in the oven” When the steaks came out both were extremely undercooked, the manager happened to be walking by and even commented that they looked very rare. We ordered one medium the other medium rare. Had three sides all were lukewarm when served and cold by the time the steaks came back out. Ordered another cocktail and waited 15 minutes for that to arrive at least this time it had a garnish. Server said we would get a free dessert which was nice so I ordered a coffee while we looked at the dessert menu. The coffee never came to the table and after waiting another ten minutes we just asked for it to go. Server kept talking to a table nearby who probably worked there. As a former restaurant manager it was hard not to see that his other two tables were getting terrible service as well. One was still waiting for water after sitting for over 20 minutes. For $300 for two people the value was not there. Cold food and subpar service.

    Kirk served us (group of 10) very well for 3 hours. The food is always excellent. Only less-than-perfect issue was the rom temperature was cool. It was a very cold day in Cincinnati, so that and the front door opening kept it cooler than my preference. We will certainly go back.

    My dinner was excellent, my husband wasn’t nearly as happy with his. Having said that, we will definitely return as we had a great time. Our server Mitch, was great. Wine was great. Atmosphere was great!!

    We went out to celebrate our new engagement as well as new years. We had a late reservation of 1030 and the restaurant was emptying out. Our appetizers came out completely cold, so I sent them back and said to just fire the entrees because I had not ate all day. Filet mignon with lobster and scallops came out and everything was cold again. Not even remotely warm to the touch. I told them to just bring me the bill for my two drinks, which was almost $38. My new years and engagement celebration was ruined, so I ended up crying the whole way home and told my fiancé to just get me some Taco Bell, as this had taken 1.5 hours and we had missed New Year’s Eve while leaving there. This was also our first New Year’s Eve together. I just wanted it to be nice and special after I had to work 14 hours at the hospital.

    The food arrived after about 1 and a half hour. The order was really bad (wrong, missing and cold items). When we asked to fix these problems, some items came further late, some didn’t come at and one came cold again. The music was supposed to entertain the evening/night but after a while, they went on break for a long time and then restarted very late for a few minutes and didn’t even make it to midnight. Really disappointed. At least, they didn’t let us pay the (twice) cold food and offered a dessert.

    Ran out of chicken and Saki, steak was over cooked, broccoli was ice cold, potatoes nearly ice cold, overall I get a better steak at Texas Roadhouse. Ruth Chris and Jeff Ruby’s make this place seem like a bad McDonalds. Sorry not sorry. New Years Eve was prob the main issue here tonight. Zack did a good job once the crowd died down and he wasn’t over slammed with tables, not his fault.

    As it was New Year’s Eve, it was busy and we did not mind  the wait times. Our server was attentive so we got new drinks so we got replenished water and bread and regularly checked in about our order. The problem was when the food came out. It was cold and two out of the six of us did not get their meat cooked to their order.  The fillets were unseasoned and tasteless.  we have many times enjoyed sitting in the bar area having happy hour cocktails, and appetizers. So we thought we’d give the main dining room a chance, but would not do so again.

    We were in the back room next to the window. It was pretty cold which made the dinner not as enjoyable.

    We were seated promptly for our 6:45 reservation, but everything went downhill from there. Once drinks arrived, it took another half hour for bread, which we asked for 3 times. Water glasses were never refilled, nor were we asked for another drink. Our salad arrived an hour later, and our dinner came while still eating the salad, and was lukewarm. The server basically ignored us and never apologized once for the awful timing. We were charged double for the wine we ordered, and when it was to be corrected on our check, we were then charged for our friends’ wine and they had theirs deducted from their check. Our dinner didn’t end until 9:45, 3 hours later and as we left there was a crowd of people waiting well beyond their reservation time. Keep in mind that the restaurant took our credit card number when we made reservation, saying they would charge up to $25 per person for canceling or not showing. There were a few other issues. We were so disappointed with the entire experience. We had New Years dinner there 2 years ago and it was great; makes me wonder if they have new management. We won’t be going back for New Years again!
