   We visited Eddie V’s last night for Christmas Eve dinner, and while the experience had some highlights, it fell short of expectations for a steakhouse of its caliber. We ordered the New York Strip, which was unfortunately average at best. The seasoning was underwhelming, and the steak lacked the signature charred crust you’d expect from a premium steakhouse, giving the impression it was cooked in an oven rather than seared properly. On the other hand, the sole was a standout dish—delicate, flavorful, and perfectly executed. The stone crabs were also on the menu, described as 6-8 ounces but seemingly closer to 4 ounces. While we understand that crab can be messy to eat, the quality and preparation didn’t quite match the high standards we expected. The calamari was another disappointment, as it lacked the flavor and crispness that typically make it a great appetizer. However, the Petrossian margarita was excellent, offering a refreshing and well-balanced cocktail. The highlight of the evening was the atmosphere. The live band provided a lovely ambiance, and depending on where you’re seated, you can enjoy a unique dining experience enhanced by the music. We sat near the windows, which gave us a nice view and a bit of distance from the noise, but it was still enjoyable. Overall, Eddie V’s is a good restaurant, but it doesn’t quite measure up to some of the other top-tier steakhouses in Boca Raton. While the environment and a few menu items were enjoyable, the inconsistencies in food quality make it hard to justify the price point for a return visit.

   About last night.. we came to spend Christmas Eve on 12/24/24 at 7:30 pm. The night started as usual, fantastic. We had the warm goad salad, The Crab 🦀 cakes, and the Table steak tartare (Rare, I did not enjoy). For dinner I ordered the Scallops and Lobster 🦞 Mashed Potatoes, they are always my favorite. The only issue was that at the end of the night, there was a bad fight, hard to believe this happened at this place on Christmas Eve. Thankfully Police came right away and solved the issue. This totally ruined the night for the ones seating next to us, and for us as this was scary. Sorry, I usually write the best reviews.

   First time to this Eddie V location and it was a great way to enjoy a special Christmas Eve meal. Amazing food, attentive service, perfect location, and a great experience.

   I was pleasantly surprised they were open for lunch on Christmas Eve, but they did not advertise it, and there was only one other table there. The meal was perfect, as always. We had excellent service and an attentive manager. We felt very special, but we felt bad that they had to work just for us.

   This is definitely one of the quieter steak houses in Boca. Our waitress Danielle was charming and professional. She was very kind to share her favorite options. The food was also very good and the rib steak was delicious. What was unfortunate are their two “jumbo crab stuffed shrimp” which were certainly not jumbo but regular sized shrimp and at $22 is outrageously not worth it.
