Edesia is a Restaurant and Cocktail Bar & Lounge in the heart of Bath overlooking Guildhall and The Abbey that serves South American-inspired dishes, made with the best of British produce.

Monday to Friday lunch is where we serve our selection of ceviches, along with the best slow cooked meats, chargrilled chicken and much more.

Dinner at EDESIA is a celebratory affair with a menu of small and large dishes to share. From snacks to ceviches, land, sea and soil, the menu has something for everyone with a focus on bold flavours, citrus and smoke.

The bar at EDESIA serves expertly-made cocktails and is a great place for an after dinner drink or to sit and enjoy the evening over a bottle of wine and have a little dance if you fancy.

Celebrate Sundays and dine with VIBE at EDESIA with our signature Sunday roasts featuring roasted Sirlion of Beef, Chicken Supreme, Rump of Lamb, Lion of Pork, Market Fish & Beetroot Wellington. All of our roasts are served with roasted potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, selection of vegetables, cauliflower cheese and homemade gravy. Please note that you will be charged the full menu price on the day alongside any extras, drinks and a discretionary 12.5% service charge.

The service was great. The kitchen just got overwhelmed and the food took awhile to come out. The food itself was ok. It was like each item was just missing one thing that would have made it taste even better.

Delicious food, speedy and friendly service. We ordered tapas and the dishes were good size. Only criticism is that the table for 2 should be bigger for those ordering tapas as there wasn’t enough space (or make serving plates smaller). Atmosphere relaxing and ambient, some noisy diners but thankfully they left halfway into our dinner. The food here is superb. The dishes were all flavoursome, we especially loved the ‘soil’ dishes we ordered. Dessert was fantastic, the baked Alaska for 2. Again flavours were unbelievable. They also surprised my boyfriend with a churro on a plate with ‘happy birthday’ written in chocolate sauce. Lovely touch. We will return. Thank you for making our birthday dinner extra special.

Nice place with a good ambience and lovely waiter/good service. The food was average, not quite what we were hoping for but filled us up and the meal was good value for money!

Fabulous tapas, good service. Seemed that downstairs had better ambiance/decor, upstairs was a little plainer and had blowy air con where we were sat.

Excellent set menu at an extremely good price. Good choice and more than sufficient portion sizes. Nice cocktails too

The staff were very friendly and pleasant. Food was delivered at a suitably measured pace and we did not feel rushed. The atmosphere was very comfortable and relaxed. Food was amazing - our only negative was that despite the ceviche tasting beautiful, we were not expecting it to be made with oil and this didn't make for a particularly pleasant mouth-feel. Not sure if it's just a different method of making ceviche as we were expecting something similar to a Peruvian style leche de tigre and perhaps it was just our expectations and particular likes that made this less enjoyable. Otherwise, a good time was had by both of us, and my partner is still raving about his steak!
