Our flagship restaurant brings Michelin starred chef Niklas Ekstedt's signature style of wood fired ‘old Nordic’ cooking to the UK for the very first time. Ekstedt at The Yard focuses on Scandinavian cooking techniques using the very best seasonal British ingredients, featuring a menu of signature dishes, alongside an inventive cocktail menu and extensive wine list.     Christmas Eve is the celebration of celebrations in Sweden! When hunger sets in, it’s time to gather around the buffet-style ‘julbord’ for a Christmas smorgasbord that offers the full medley of Swedish Christmas food. With everything from Swedish meatballs, pork sausage, homemade liver pate, julskinka (their Christmas ham), sill (pickled herring), salmon with mustard sauce, and including the delicious classic ‘Ris a la Malta’, a vanilla rice pudding served with orange slices. Price includes a glass of mulled wine on arrival and a glass of ‘mumma’ (a Swedish Christmas drink that is a blend of lager, stout, madeira and gin).

    A great expereince with a lovely atmospehere. The staff try to make you feel at home successfully and almost seem like they want to celebrate whatever celebration you're having with you. The Food was amazing, every dish had a different flavour profile verying from rich to slight hints that keep you wanting more. Great food with great personality.

    What a disappointment this was! We had been wanting to go to Eksted at the yard for ages and thought it would be a lovely treat as we were out Christmas shopping. The restaurant is quite cozily set at the back of a hotel and staff greeted us nicely. We were there for the Sunday roast and it sounded like it was going to be an exciting experience. In reality,in the end, it turned out to be overall an ok experience but nothing really special. What really left a sour note was the fact that we were asked if we wanted bread with the meal and said yes. We were given a slice of sourdough between us and some butter. When we came to pay this was on the bill at £4 a head!!! No mention on the menu that this would be charged. With service on top we were getting close to £10 for a slice of bread. £14 for one scallop was also a bit excessive. So overall an ok experience. The beef was tasty enough and a bit different served with a baked apple! Shame that the mustard I asked for never arrived! So heading towards£200 for 2 courses and a couple of glasses of wine each!! Sorry - we expect - and have had- better!

    The Sunday roast was amazing! Delicious food and a fairly large meal. Well worth the quality and quantity! I was hugely impressed.

    We took the chefs table as I regularly do chefs tables across london so love to experience new ones I haven’t been to. Whilst the service was amazing and the chef was super friendly and helpful - it was tainted by the actual seating. Firstly, I’m 30 years old so I’m not complaining about my back due to age, but the seats were super high with very low backs and there was no where to place your footing unless you were quite tall so to sit there for 3.5 hours was very uncomfortable. All 4 people complained about their backs by the end. For the extra price mark there was not a huge difference of sitting on comfortable chairs on regular tables - I was close to asking to swap which we regret not doing. Whilst the experienced servers and the chefs were very polite and helpful the actual service was pretty slow - up to 20 mins in between some dishes - so to complete the menu it took 3.5 hours and we were pretty much the first table in and the last table out on a fairly quiet Friday evening. They mentioned they were training and tbh this would have been fine if it was comfortable but because it wasn’t it was not ideal to wait the extra time. I’ve been to Michelin star places with a lower price mark so think it should be priced at £120 max.

    Incredibly talented chef, excellent food and super friendly people serving food. It deserves a Michelin start. I adored all the tasting menu. A place to try!

    Visited for a special birthday and we enjoyed the theme of the food which was Scandinavian smoked wood fire. The menu was fantastic, as an extra special experience we were invited into the kitchen for one of our dishes to see the cooking technique and enjoy the food with the chefs alongside the wood fires. The staffs knowledge was exceptional and quality of food and taste was great. Would highly recommend.

    A fabulous meal from start to finish. The quality of the food and the level of preparation is second to none. The paired volcanic wines were something different and the explanation cards were also interesting to read. The service was attentive. All in all a great location, wonderful food and enjoyable evening.

    Fantastic, imaginative food served in a relaxed, intimate setting. Restrained use of fire and smoke to allow ingredients to shine, especially the langoustine. The desserts and petit fours were some of the most beautiful and creative that we've seen, very memorable. Warm, attentive service from the whole team made the evening extra special. Highly recommended.
