Home kitchens throughout the Mediterranean have been cooking up family meals with fresh, flavorful ingredients for centuries. The traditional meals include names like Tabouli, Shawarma, Stuffed Grape Leaves, Baked Kibbee and more. Ask anyone of Lebanese descent, they will tell you these are the dishes of comfort and home.
The Sakhat family has taken their mother’s traditional recipes and inspiration to offer the finest Mediterranean & Lebanese cuisine in their El Basha restaurants. The brothers and their families are proud to represent their heritage and culture in warm and inviting restaurants enjoyable by all.
The El Basha restaurants have grown throughout the greater Worcester region with locations now in Worcester, Westborough, and Sudbury. As the brothers have grown the business, they continue to work on expanding the menu to include plates from other cultures, such as American Steak and Seafood.

We were really pleased with the food. We kept our order simple by taking them up on their pre-packaged "works" offering - $50/pp (2 min) which included several starters and assorted grilled kebabs over rice plus dessert. Their take on baba ganoush was excellent - I make the stuff myself, and I'm pretty pleased with mine...Theirs was better. In fact better than I've had from anywhere else. The humus was also excellent as were the grape leaves. The kibbe was exceptional both as to ratio of meat to grain and also texture and flavor. Fattoush salad, labne - everything on the table was exemplary. Honestly, I'm a tough grader and this stuff was far better than expected and worth a trip there all by itself. Then the grilled meats - the lamb, the chicken, the kofta (really interesting) all excellent as well. Some nice grilled veg as well. The rice was the only let-down, and frankly at this point with their overachievement everywhere else - who cares? Dessert included was baklava - a good example, but not a highlight for me. Bottom line for me is these folks know how to cook, seem to have some real tradition driving their recipes (as they are distinctive), and offered way more quality and quantity (did I mention quantity) than expected. My cocktail was also good, btw. I am mostly disappointed by suburban restaurants, but not so this time. This discerning diner will definitely return.

We are return customers. We ordered the same meal and it was not the same. The lamb was tender and good, but there were minimal vegetables, mostly onions. Our first experience the portion of meat, rice and vegetables was generous.. Now for the same price, the serving was half the size. The Amazing experience was now Meh. I do not think we will travel as far again to El Basha.

The tabouli was great. Fascinatingly interesting menu. Maybe I'll eventually try something else, but I can't resist my usual dish of beef Port Saiid. Likewise, my companion had his usual grilled chicken and loved it.

A wonderful experience Immediately our arrival was acknowledged We started at the bar with small talk Shortly after we ordered our appetizers, absolutely full of flavor and freshness My shrimp risotto and was a perfect texture, and the shrimp was perfectly crisp Attentive, professional, respectful crew from the kitchen to the exit Perfect meal !!

Excellent food and atmosphere. We sat at the bar and found the service to be slower than expected. It was a busy time, so the delay was understandable. We do plan to visit again soon.

Best pistachio martinis! Best lollipop lamb chops! Service is excellent. Very nice atmosphere and staff is outstanding! Been there a few times! One of my favorites places!!!

The best Middle Eastern food I have ever had! The Port Saiid and Pumpkin Kibbee were absolutely delicious. The waitress advised us well on the menu.
