Wonderful meal and drinks in a small storefront restaurant with an open kitchen and welcoming chef. We made a reservation based on reviews as we are not local to the area, and we were not disappointed. Starting with the cocktail we were impressed, the best mojito I have had in ages! I had read the empanadas were very good and that is an understatement. The problem we encountered was that there were so many dishes that appealed to us. The mixto cerviche was delicious. Because the portions were large, we opted to box our pork chop entree, which we totally enjoyed the next day. We shared my husband's selection, Bandeja paisa, which included chorizo, flat steak, fried egg, red beans. There wasn't anything that we didn't like. If we were local, we would be frequent customers. However, since we visit the area yearly, we are sure to return next year. Thank you for the wonderful meal and gracious service.

We love El Callejon! The menu is versatile and the food is delicious. They are gracious hosts who run a small business beautifully. The portions are large and of great value. We will be back often.

We enjoyed our dinner. The octopus and tuna were delicious. Unfortunately the paella was not great. No charred rice on bottom and was overcooked and the aroma was off. The oil used was not right. The desserts were very good. Will be back to try other items on menu. Cozy new jewel in PChester.

Restaurant Week lunch 2024. This is a still unknown gem of a place. We had a delightful lunch with only one other set of diners. The food is true to its Columbian roots from the owner of Appetite Bistro.

I love this restaurant. The owner/chef is an excellent chef with great pedigree. The food is typically Colombian but cooked with subtlety and fresh ingredients. The ambiance is casual and very comfortable. Service comes with a smile and all at a good value.

We had a wonderful dinner at El Callejon before a show at the Capital in Port Chester. If you’re looking for great Latin fusion food without pretense, this neighborhood restaurant is a find. I had the arroz con mariscos which was outstanding with a generous portion of large shrimp, clams and mussels as well as saffron rice prepared the way it should be, not too dry and not too moist. Leave room for the outstanding banana beignet dessert served with vanilla ice cream.
