El Dorado Restaurant is a new concept on the beaches of Puerto Vallarta featuring an innovative menu of Modern Mexican Cuisine. Visit us and experience an upscale dining venue with incredible views of the bay and world class sunsets, paired with attentive service and a modern take on traditional Mexican cuisine.

We open daily for breakfast, beach club, lunch and dinner. Hours are from 8:30am-11:00pm. Reservations are highly recommended so we may better serve you. We are a casual restaurant during the day and upscale dining during the dinner service, please dress accordingly. See you soon!

El Dorado Restaurant is located at the end of the street towards the beach and has the convenience of street parking with exclusive spaces available for guests. Because of how popular the area is, we do recommend arriving by Uber or Taxi.
Public transit
We are located in the heart of the Romantic Zone, near the south end of the city. There are multiple bus stops nearby and the closest stop is at the Lazaro Cardenas park. From there, head towards the beach and walk southbound along the boardwalk. Once you pass the pier that looks like a sail, El Dorado Restaurant will be up ahead.

We have been going to El Dorado every year for dinner for at least 10 years. We went several times in 2024 as the food was particularly good. This was our first time in in 2025 and we found things did not change for the better. As usual I asked to sample 2 wines given that those offered are not well known. This time the waiter apparently had to struggle to pull this off which never happened before to any restaurant of this stature in the US. My partner was told he had to decide without sampling in spite of the prices. I addition my entrée (del mar/of the sea) did not smell fresh and did not contain any of the scallops mentionned in the description. In other world mediocre at best. We Will not go back this year and will likely skip it in 2026.

Our group really had a great time and thank you for the front row seating!!! It was stunning. Food was really good, service was a little slow, I believe they were understaffed. But, the ambiance is fantastic! We ordered dessert, they brought the dessert forks, then removed the forks and the desserts never came. They were removed from the bill. Overall. I do give it a 4.5 and I do recommend. Live music was great as well!!

I have never written a negative review about a restaurant before. The food was good. The service was atrocious. The waiting staff would run by our table quickly throw or put down whatever they had to and runoff before you could ask for cutlery, etc. the only time we even talked to our server Was at dessert time. The view was amazing.

We had a great experience from the time we checked in. The view was great, the food was fresh and tasty, and our waiter was fantastic. It was my friend's birthday and they did a nice job of recognizing it without embarrassing her. They even called a taxi for us when we were ready to leave. This will definitely be on our agenda for our annual visit to PV.

What can I say, it was Valentine's Day? Service and food weren't quite to our expectations, but the ambiance made up for it and what restaurant isn't stressed on Valentine's Day? We will try again, absent the holiday, and you should too.

Servers were attentive and customer focused. Food and beverages were exquisite. Ambience was stellar with live music.

One of the most romantic settings on the beach. The food is delicious and the service is attentive. Just a wonderful experience.

All food was good but my husband’s meal was cold. He ordered the From the Sea and was greatly disappointed!

Food was excellent. Service was wonderful. Ambience was unbeatable. Far superior to our experience at La Palapa next door that had poor service and mediocre food.
