   I booked a table several weeks ago as my daughter was visiting from London. We booked a table at the bar, being familiar with the restaurant and the bar area, I called well beforehand to confirm that my booking would be at one of the high tables at the left hand side of the bar in the restaurant. I was assured that that was where we would be seated. We travelled from Stirling by train for the night out with my daughter. We duly arrived at the restaurant in good time for our 8pm booking. They told us at reception that our booking was next door in the cocktail bar, they took us through to a tiny small round table in the cocktail bar, complained and explained that I had called to ensure our reservation was for one of the high tables in the main restaurant bar as clarified by phone. The manager told me I was mistaken and my booking was for the cocktail bar. They openly lied in my face, they then presented the “menu” a small card bar menu with bar snacks on it, as if we would book this for a special occasion!! Needless to say I will never cross the threshold again and will make sure I shout it from the rooftops. I just cannot believe they would stand there and blatantly lie in your face and act as if we are stupid. If you ever get the chance to go to El Santo……DON’T

   An incredible meal for a special occasion, I went for Valentine’s Day and it was the best meal I have had for a long time. A great atmosphere with live dancers, music and staff where extremely attentive. We ordered two tacos, a sharing meat platter with fries and the churros to finish. Everything was cooked to perfection.

   We got the sharing menu for 2 and the food was delicious. The ambience and service was fabulous. I would def recommend.

   Another great meal at El Santo - great food and fantastic service from both bar and waiting staff. It was quiet but it was a Tuesday night but we weren't rushed out at the end of the night - which was appreciated.

   Food was nice, service wasn’t the best - we had to wait quite a while for food and when it did arrive one things came and we had to wait quite a bit longer for everything else to arrive. Was also very disappointed with the drinks menu, I get it’s a place for tequila and mezcal, however if you want other spirits the selection isn’t the best and the soft drinks are basic. I’d have expected more of a selection. Not sure I’d rush back.

    The staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was fantastic. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant. I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
