   I miss the old El Vez. The menu was more extensive having real dinners not just tacos, quesadillas and snacks. I’ve been to the original restaurant in Philadelphia and then when it opened here in Fort Lauderdale. I haven’t been in over a year. But the menu has changed and the food is overly salted. Mexican corn is nothing like Mexican corn. I won’t be going back until the chef changes.

   Great service by Arty and very tasty chicken quesadilla, street corn, plantains con queso and tres leches dessert with great outdoor seating across from the beach!

   Artie my server was very friendly. So was the light skinned black hostess Sunday night. Chicken tortilla soap was delicious.

   We had a very nice experience this afternoon at one of our favorite local restaurants. Jayda greeted us warmly and found fabulous outside seating. Ethan was our attentive waiter. Of course, the margaritas are very good, and favorites Nacho Mama and Carnitas tacos were just darn good. An unexpected surprise was the chicken burrito. Just outstanding. We'll be back with friends and family!

   Everything was just ok. The service started out poorly, our server did not offer us drinks or alcoholic drinks or ask if we wanted them, we had to hunt her down and ask for them. Which is unusual because most restaurants want to upsell alcoholic beverages. And then everyone else got their food before us and ordered after we did. The food was delish. But it was loud. This also was not the first time at the restaurant, although it had been a few years since being there. Not sure if we would be back. Also online they have a gluten free, vegan menu but at the restaurant they do not. Overall experience was just ok as there were pros and cons. Which you don’t want to experience the cons while on vacation.

   The vibe was great! I was able to have a great conversation with my friends without having to shout in a noisy restaurant. The atmosphere was awesome because the weather was perfect to be able to sit out on the open patio. The food was amazing and the wait staff were friendly and personable. I’m looking forward to going back.

    The food and service were excellent. I particularly like the corn (off the cob) and tortilla soup.
