   My family and I had dinner at Elephant & Castle before a show at National Theatre. The location was extremely convenient, service and atmosphere was great, and we all enjoyed our dishes.

   Good food, good service. We could hear the music in the background but could easily hear each other. They have a “Sunday Roast Beef Dinner” all week with a good Yorkshire pudding and horseradish sauce. The side of squash was very good.

   Food was very good, portions were smaller than expected. Probably the size you’re supposed to eat. But I was not stuffed when I was done with my meal. Didn’t have any leftovers for the next day.

   Would have been nice to hear holiday music or British pub music at least… instead it was really loud 2000s American pop (which I love, but it’s the holidays and a British themed pub…). Don’t order the mini pies. Super cute idea, awful execution. Brussels sprouts were fine, just a little oily. Service was just ok, not terrible. All very friendly.

   Waiter was incredibly pushy and rude about leaving a tip. We never said we weren’t gonna tip. He yelled at us many times. Again, we never said anything about tipping or not. He was just pushy and rude.

   Great place for dinner before a show! The pies and the pretzel bites were delicious. Fun ambiance and not too expensive.

    We enjoyed our meal at Elephant and Castle. It's within walking distance from the National Theater so a good place to go before or after a show. It has a British pub vibe and good pub food. We enjoyed fish and chips and butter chicken. The server was friendly and provided good service. We'd definitely eat here again.
