   The service was horrible and they weren't even busy. The food was not worth it Calamari was cut in strips instead of rings and they were over cooked. I aske for the sauce for the chicken wings on the side but it came swimming in the sauce. I ordered the waffle and Ice Cream the waffle was like a cold cake and not a warm waffle. They tried to charge me for stuff that the waitress made a mistake about. Check your bill at this place. I did tell the host but he just said sorry. Think twice about this place.

   Lovely place and the waiting staff were good but the food took 1 hour and 15 minutes for 2 adults and 3 kids with basic dishes....no starter....fish and chips, Calamari, chicken wings and 2 x baby bowls......it wasn't busy and nobody came near us to apologise or even offer to get the kids food out first. When it did arrive the chips were not fully cooked and the fish was overcooked and greasy. The rest of the food was OK but not worth the wait. Luckily we were not in a hurry and kids had fun playing in a lounge area while we waited. When we mentioned it leaving the guy on the til offered no apology or even attempt at an explanation. Its a pity as it is a nice place but will not go back until we hear they significantly improved their kitchen/food!

   Had chicken wings and nachos to start. Chicken wings were fine but swimming in a pool of hot sauce. The guacamole was very good. Overall, they were fast food quality starters, not restaurant starters. The burgers for mains were bad. The burger was cooked to death, hard a crumbly. The bun had been toasted on one side to burned and then left to go completely cold. Really poor. The table staff were very friendly. There was mass confusion over what dishes were gluten free, although the server did her best, this should be marked up clearly on the menu and kitchen staff should know how to adapt. Cokes were 200ml bottles, not even the size of a can. A double espresso was also served cold. I would never go back.

   Restaurant itself is beautiful, love the decor. This is our third time eating there and it is always so cold for some reason in there. Food was amazing though

   As a regular customer to the elephant and castle yesterdays was a little disappointing .We are massive fans of the sensational chicken wings and fries. We ordered 3 portions of fries , each of them inedible , so hard (didn't look burned)just really really hard. I didn't want to complain but it must have been obvious when all 3 portions were retuned uneaten but charged €17.95!!!! Wings were really nice a little over cooked but still fab.When we got the bill an additional 14.95 was added for drinks we didn't have and an additional coke..Just wasn't as pleasant an experience for a special birthday as we 've had in the past .Never the less it is still a great restaurant and we all can have off days!
