Eliot & Vine offers an array of dining experiences. Have a seat in the main room along the bright windows, or at our beautiful marble top bar. Our semi-private ‘Frolic Room’, boasting exquisite work by renowned artist Jean Bradbury, is perfect for group dinners or a quiet date night. Or, watch the chefs work their magic while you sit at the kitchen counter. Eliot & Vine was designed by Breakhouse. European favourites get a unique twist inspired by the seasons and ever-changing market offerings. Our extensive wine list features classics you love, and unique gems waiting to be discovered - from around the world or local vineyards. We have hand-crafted cocktails and a selection of European bottled beer, while the draught taps showcase our love of home. We are happy to accommodate special requests, such as a gluten-free or vegetarian meal. Don’t hesitate to ask anyone on our team, and be sure to let us know if you have any food allergies or sensitivities.

    Excellent food, cozy atmosphere and friendly relaxed service. Loved the scallop appetizer and main halibut dish / both were perfectly prepared with comforting sides, with a twist. Menu clearly identified gluten free options which is always appreciated

    This is my favourite place to dine whenever I’m in Halifax. We found this gem about 5 years ago, I travel to Halifax several times a year and always visit. The food is always delicious, very well prepared and presented. The wine list has a excellent and service is amazing, always consistent and attentive I would highly recommend you try Eliot and Vine

    Welcoming, cozy spot for a pre-show appetizer and drink. The rotating menu allows many returns without having the same choices every time, but the standbys of tuna tartare, Brussels sprouts and happy hour oysters are always a hit.

    Excellent food albeit very pricey. Would be a frequent guest if it was more affordable, but this may very well have been a one time visit.

    Had a lovely time at Elliot & Vine, the perfect level of attentiveness without disrupting our dinner. It was also a team effort, it didn’t matter if someone came by that wasn’t our waiter they were happy to clear plates or notice an empty glass. Will definitely be going back!

    We’re not from town but always try to get to this wonderful restaurant when we’re in Halifax. The main room is beautiful, warm with a variety of lighting including white pillar candles along the gleaming bar. The service has always been exemplary - professional but friendly - and on this visit Julie was both. The Parmesan-dusted house fries in their silver cups are worth building your dinner around so this time we both bypassed our usual choices and opted for burgers. They were excellent, even if the onion jam had us begging for wet wipes.

    We are so glad you had the chance to visit us on your trip to Halifax, Linda. The E&V burger is a very good choice indeed, with roasted garlic aioli, onion jam, Beemster cheese, and topped with local smoked bacon and brioche bun, certainly a great pairing for our house fries.
