   We booked a table for the Christmas menu, booked via the main website that directed us to OpenTable from the Christmas option. Booked a mid afternoon slot, 2.30pm. On arrival we were seated in the bar, I say seated we were directed to "pick a table" which was surprising as we'd booked a Christmas meal option. Once seated we ordered drinks and then we were asked if we wanted a charcuterie board with drinks, again odd as we had a Christmas meal booked. On further investigating we discovered the Christmas meal wasn't available until 5pm and we'd actually booked a bar table. By this point we'd ordered and had served a bottle of champagne so couldn't leave unless we took the bottle with us. Our Christmas meal was now a bar menu of burger and fries!!!! Ok so I thought I'd messed up, in the time we were in the bar I noticed 4 other couples turned up expecting the same thing, I didn't mess up, we booked something that wasn't available. I felt so sorry for all of us, one couple were clearly there to celebrate a birthday, one were celebrating their 1st Christmas and he tried desperately to find another restaurant that had availability for a Christmas booking. We actually notified staff of what we thought had caused the problem, they told the restaurant manager, he didn't seem bothered and did nothing to rectify or mollify the problem. Thanks for a really underwhelming Christmas meal experience, burgers were not what we wanted for a Christmas meal, I could have gone to McDonald's for that. Next time think about what your website booking links to, you potentially ruined peoples Christmas day!

   I wasn’t able to eat because what they had on the menu I didn’t eat. I came there for breakfast and not knowing it stopped at 10:30am so unfortunately we had to leave and go elsewhere ..

   A beautiful restaurant in the arts district. Easy parking and a relaxed ambiance. We ordered the hummus and the jalapeño corn fritters for appetizers! Those corn fritters were a big YUM and so unique. We loved it. I ordered their seasonal Gingerbread Martini. It was incredible. Our entrees were great and the cobbler was delicious. We will definitely be back.

   Ive been disappointed in the experience these last few visits. Service is friendly but very slow. Food quality doesn't match price point.

   I had the creole redfish and my husband has the sea bass. Food was outstanding. We really enjoyed it. And the HallSauvignon blanc was a heavy pour and went nicely with the fish.

   It was okay. The food was pricey and service was slow. Food taste was just average. Not good for special occasions.

   Sidney was wonderful and made a night! Food was great and a wonderful atmosphere prior to a show at the Majestic. Easily walkable too

   We've been to Ellie's a few times over the years, but this visit was really lovely. The holiday decor is fabulous as ever, and the Jazz trio playing was really special. The service was great today, too. The menu seems to have been given a refresh since we've last visited, and we enjoyed our brunch options.

    We've been to Ellie's several times and always enjoyed the hospitality and food, Unfortunately last night was a busy night and despite that we had reservations, we were seated 35 minutes after we arrived and only after we pressed to get a table. Food was very good as always, but unfortunately we had to eat very quickly in order to make a showtime.
