The food was great. They were just a little understaffed and out of everything. Lettuce, steak, oysters, a lot of wine, etc. It was a long weekend too which was a bit annoying considering they only have 4 or 5 entrees on their menu. Feeling like inventory should be ordered before a long weekend. Our waitress was amazing but it definitely could’ve been a better experience.

The restaurant was out of items in the 6 o’clock hour. No salad option. Out of oysters. Over all the staff was overwhelmed because the place was very overbooked and the kitchen didn’t have items and they sold out quickly. I told my very nice waitress she was set up for failure because looking around every person was not loving getting told the kitchen was out of half of the items by 730. Despite this… my server was very nice and made proper adjustments to the bill. The ambience was great but restaurant was freezing cold. Hope they get their stuff together because it has a lot of potential

It’s a really lovely restaurant with friendly, if somewhat rushed, staff. We really enjoyed our cocktails, but found the food generally lacking. The stuffed poblano was filled with a fairly dry and tasteless filling, accompanied by a creamy sauce and two small pickled peppers (the flavor highlight of the dish). Pasta Bolognese included house-made pasta (lovely) and seemed as if it might have been sitting for a while in the kitchen before being served. Friends who happened to be dining elsewhere in the restaurant agreed the food was generally fine. We mused on the way home about how other dishes on the menu might’ve made for a better meal.

Horrible experience. I see good reviews but think they were for dinner. I suggest you don’t waste your time here… too many of the other great places in town for brunch/lunch. We were rushed to order. Several menu items not available, my wife didn’t get her food until entire table already finished!!! We all shared some of ours with her. When server brought her dish, first thing he asked her before even putting it on table was if she’d just prefer to have it boxed to go!!!!! Server didn’t care about anything.

Beautiful small place. Great service. Bar service, drinks menu fantastic. Happy hour was a bonus. The menu is just too limited. If it's due to space in the kitchen, offer sandwiches, omelets, more salads. Out of the 5 tables near us, only one couple ordered the burger. The rest drinks and oysters for Happy Hour. We had 3 small plates, the fries, the mushroom on toast and the crab dip. All good. I recommend coming for drinks from 4 til 6, especially when they also have their oyster special.

Benjamin, at the bar, is a treasure! The soup of the week, chicken rice, was delicious. My oysters were served with a unique serrano and ginger mignonette, and the stuffed poblano was SO good! Benjamin created a unique cocktail for starters, I'm not sure he has named it yet. I also enjoyed a Corpse Reviver II. My husband was not imbibing, but he enjoyed a delicious NA cocktail called Jump in the Line.

Informed on arrival there was only one waiter for the restaurant with a few kitchen runners and one bartender for a busy evening. Should have left. 1 hour & 15 minutes later we had been served a small, too sweet house martini, a glass of wine, and a serving of limp, cold French fries (along with a missing order of mushroom toast) for $48 (including tip). Server made no attempt to help make things right other than removing the appetizer we didn’t receive from the bill. We declined ordering entrees because it was very noisy and uncomfortable. Won’t try again and will warn others off.

We sincerely apologize for the disappointing experience you had with us. It’s clear that we fell short in several areas, from the long wait to the quality of the food and drinks. We understand how frustrating it must have been to feel neglected, especially on a busy night, and we truly regret that we didn’t handle things better. Your feedback is invaluable, and we’ll be reviewing our service to ensure this doesn’t happen again. We genuinely appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts, and we hope you'll consider giving us another chance in the future.

I think it was a challenging night for the restaurant. They were out of several of their entrees, they were also out of some of the beers we requested.
