Opened in the spring of 2004, Embers is a contemporary American Steakhouse with a twist. Classic Steakhouse offerings along with complete selections of seafood & sushi are available in a warm inviting atmosphere.

Embers, as the name implies, evokes the warmth and comfort of a glowing fire; from the stacked-stone torch and gas lanterns outside to the glowing candles within. Black & White photographs of Cincinnati landmarks and celebrities create a sense of history and place, while large oil canvasses and vibrant floral arrangements punctuate the rooms with color.

Embers is a fantastic place for a date night. We had our first date there and love it every time we go back.

Sat at a high top the bar on Valentine’s Day- so I went in with the knowledge it would be busy. Service was quite slow though. Couple at the table next to us even commented that it appeared our server had forgotten our tables. Ordered the charcuterie and no explanation of the cheeses or meats was given upon delivery. While I don’t always expect one, for the cost of nearly $300 on the total bill, I do expect better service. Steak and sides were good. Skipped dessert because we didn’t want to wait any longer. Food was good, but for same price I could go to Ruby’s and get very good food and excellent service.

It was a busy Friday evening. We were seated in the bar, which was pretty tight. You are basically at a shared space with your neighbors. The bench side is lower than the bar stools, which was kinda weird. Service was friendly and adequate. The decor is tired and underwhelming. Maybe this speaks to the local, regular clientele. The food was good and portions were good. Dinner for 2 people: 2 glasses of wine, 2 salads, 2 steaks, 2 sides, 2 desserts. $226 + tip. Meh.

Our Valentine dinner was just perfect with wonderful service. The restaurant was busy but our server continued to check on us and the food & drinks came out quickly. The food is more pricey but the servings are generous - we got the filet mignon & sea bass (with trimmings included) which were fabulous; our sushi appetizer was also delicious. Plan to return to Embers very soon!

Valentine’s Day early. Ember’s is consistently a better value with better cuisine than than the other local steakhouses. We’ve never had a problem there. Ever. The waitstaff cares and it shows. Very personable, easy to talk too. Management is always on the floor and often the ones serving you. Need something? Anything? They are on it immediately. Steaks are awesome, big. Fish and sushi outstanding. The bread. The butter on the bread. It’s just a great place! Go!

Embers is our go to special occasion restaurant for the quiet ambience, outstanding service and great food. Unfortunately they did not live up to our expectations for service our last visit. They continue to get high marks from us in all other regards. WE were promptly seated, placed drink orders and even got our first courses without delay. Not sure what caused the unusually long delay in getting our main courses ( from about 7:15 until about 8:00 p:m). Our waitress blamed on "just being very busy". We've been there other times when the restaurant is much busier and the service was better. Still a great restaurant so we'll give them a pass on this visit.

We had an early Valentines Day dinner. Was seated quickly. Someone came by the table and poured water. The waiter came over and got our drink order. I had the Flirtini and my fiance’ got the Old Fashioned. We both enjoyed our drinks. Bread service was quick. The bread was really good. We ordered the Shrimp Cocktail plus an extra shrimp. We ordered a filet, the surf and turf , baked potato, and grilled asparagus. All of the food was spot on. We will def be back again. Service was very nice.

Very pleased with our overall experience. Food was excellent although my steak was a bit undercooked. Otherwise it was a wonderful evening.
