Took my son & goddaughter and everything was great. The waitress was very friendly and nice. The food was great. Son had the Bleu cheese really good and juicy. We enjoyed the entire time. Definitely recommend

We were sat at the bar area with no white table cloth. We were not allowed to sit in the main dinning room. Adjacent table was an African American young family. It looked very racially motivated. We were told no table in the dining room but plenty of open reservation on Open Table. Server was very good but restaurant is lacking race consciousness.

Dear Beverly! Thank you for sharing your feedback! during lunch hours Empire Burger House served their delicious burgers in the bar area of our sister restaurant Empire Steak House! While the main dining room is reserved for Empire Steak House reservations! And during dinner shift the empire burger house remains open in the second floor 147 e 50th street! with plenty of tables unless booked for private events! We do not racially profile any guest, so please rest assured the reason you were seated at the bar area is because the area is our designated Empire Burger House seating during lunch! we sincerely hope this clear the misunderstanding. and we sincerely hope you visit us again, our team is not only very professional but we all come from different backgrounds/countries!

Food was horrible. My wife & I ordered Oysters, Wild Spicy and Empire Spicy Chicken burger. Our burgers were very lack luster. Worse than a McDonalds burger. The Truffle Fries had no truffle. The Mac & Cheese taste like $1 box Mac & cheese. The Oysters were delicious. The service was below average. Our server greeted us with “Hi! Can I get you any drinks?” Very very informal. Definitely WOULD NOT recommend!! The drink was great: Order the Empire Martini.

As per the quality of the meat we use, our beef patties are made with ground USDA prime beef, which greatly varies with the unknown contents of a mac Donald's food item. We value customer preferences, this is why we are very flexible with additions to burgers like adding more onions, a different type of cheese, or other items! more than this we offer more than 10 different types of burgers/ sandwiches! maybe one is not your favorite, but we are sure other will! we hope to see you soon for a better experience. The food here is consistently good; it truly is a neighborhood gem. Allen, our server was exceptional, right there whenever needed or even before~ The food is a real bargain for the quality and price. It should be jumping every lunch/dinner hour!

We went for NY Restaurant Week and we weren’t able to get into this actual restaurant. We had to go to the actual steakhouse to get in. While the room is beautiful it’s a little outdated. The burgers was extremely thin. The Caesar salad was very good. The service was good.

Experience was traditional NYC—in a good way. We sat upstairs: atmosphere was quiet; we were one of two customers but business picked up. Burgers are smashed and juicy! One of the best burgers I’ve had in awhile. Sides were also tasty and large enough to share. Server was pleasant and attentive.

Very accommodating, we had a reservation but there was mixed up due to a private party, however the restaurant staff took care of use with no issues of having to wait. The burgers were excellent and the staff were top knotch .
