Food was moderate, at best, in comparison to the cost. Our table was in the back corner and our server kept forgetting about us. I got the Pappardelle pasta with meat sauce. Zero flavor. When I say “zero”, I mean ZERO. Couldn’t believe. Very disappointing experience.

Everyone who has steaks liked them, although portion sizes were tremendous so would have been appreciated if waiter had said this to us at the start as some would have shared. I personally had the Octopus which was cooked oddly and tasted very bland and strangely seasoned, plus what it came with didn’t seem to work with it. I love Octopus and this was one of the worst preparation of it I have ever had (was tender and seemed fresh, just hated the flavor). I would have returned it but I was in a group and I didn’t want to make a big deal about it. Sides of creamed spinach and french fries were nothing special. Oysters were blah, just average tasting ones, no choices of what to get, and simple looking display of them compared to most similar restaurants. People liked the Bacon app. Fried calamari was the same that you can get at any average restaurant. I forget what the other apps were which means I wasn’t impressed by them. Desserts were average. One was the lavender creme brûlée which was inconsistent. We had 3, one had too much lavender, another was bland, and the 3rd was perfect. I tried 2 of them and they were very different, I loved one and was unimpressed with the other. Was mentioned to the waiter who just offered to replace one of them, but we didn’t want another and he didn’t credit which was disappointing considering we were a party of 10. Service was otherwise good and there was no forced tip n the bill even for our size. This restaurant also only has a wine and beer license, so disappointing that you can’t have a harder drink at a steakhouse. Bottomline: Very expensive, mixed reviews. Surprised so highly rated on so many review sites.

My husband and I enjoyed coming in from the cold and busyness of the city to a wonderful meal, drinks & dessert. The service was impeccable and we would love to return.
