   The place is very cute, and overall it was a fun experience, but it was definitely not worth the high price tag. $70 per person, plus $29 for a small amount of lobster tail for the strangest fondue experience I’ve ever had. 4 courses, starting with a literal cup-sized salad, followed by a bunch of uncooked veggies and bread that you dip in cheese that *you* have to melt - this was very strange. Then the meat came out, and what was supposed to be filet mignon was definitely pre-cut chuck roast corners for stew. It was chewy and full of gristle. The meatballs were store bought. The chicken and shrimp was fine. The wine was a local brand from a keg, which is totally fine except that normally when served this way you serve by the liter, and at a lower cost due to the fact that the wine was purchased by the restaurant in bulk. It was definitely not at a lower cost, less than a full bottle, and the red wine was served much too cold (I understand keeping them in a fridge, but not the same fridge as beer - too cold). The dessert fondue was pretty good, nothing to write home about. Our server was sweet but very distracted. They charged a 20% gratuity for all parties because it was Christmas - that I actually appreciate, though it sort of felt like they expected you to tip double. The whole bill was $360 for 3 people. That is far too much for this “experience.” Ultimately, glad we did it, because I’ve always been curious about that place, but we all agreed that, based on this visit, we won’t be back.

   Excellent spot for a special occasion! Portions a little small, but maybe we were really hungry. Service was wonderful, and ambience is amazing. Thank you for making my father’s birthday special.

   We had a 745 reservation and we were set immediately, but then we waited quite a while for anyone to come to us . Then, unfortunately, when we’re halfway through our meal, they started cleaning up the restaurant, putting chairs on top of tables chatting with each other. We were gone before 9 o’clock.. It just felt like almost as soon as we got our food, they wanted us to leave.

   What a unique experience. The service was great and they have created a one of a kind dining experience. You dont feel rushed and the live music was a nice add while not being intrusive. The food was good but not the star of the show with the exception of the chocolate fondue which was excellent, lots of variety of dippers and a great flavor.

   Enjoyable experience and fun ambiance. My husband loved the Shepard’s pie and I enjoyed the short ribs. I did not realize this restaurant did not have a full liquor license so just be aware of that. I will stick to wine next time as I didn’t really enjoy the

   Had a great experience at Enchanted Forrest. It was our first time there. We didn't know that there would be a holiday event on Main Street, so it was closed, which made parking chaos. I called the restaurant after driving around for 15 minutes in traffic and the owner sat on the phone with us trying to guide us as to where we could park. She took our order over the phone as well, so that our food would be ready shortly after we finally sat. Very accommodating and I was blown away! The atmosphere is magical. We get to wear fairy halos during our dinner. The food was delicious!!! We will definitely be back again. Highly recommend! Leave at least 30 minutes ahead of your reservation, to deal with parking, just in case.

   We dined at Enchanted Forest Thanksgiving evening. Despite being really busy, the hustle and bustle, chatter of other diners, lovely Celtic music in the background, it was even more enchanting! We had made reservations for 2 and initially were a bit disappointed we were seated at a high top parallel to the bar. With that said, it all worked out since there were only 2 of us and the activity near us definitely kept us entertained and the conversation flowing. It was a pre-fixe menu and EVERYTHING on the menu made it difficult to decide. Hubby at the shortrib and I the salmon. The 4-course meal (salad, soup, entree and dessert) were all yummy. I do wish they would have had the live music throughout the evening and not for just the afternoon. Service was a tad slow but expected due to the volume of guests and potential guests seeking to have a shared meal with a loved one/s on this day of thankfulness and gratitude. They might have been short on staff, but that could also be attributed to the high of guests that day-evening. I would have given 5 stars but wanted to leave room for improvement. Overall, a lovely evening and a must for people of all ages. AND YES, we both wore our lighted head wreaths throughout the entire evening. If planning a trip to downtown Placerville...or...consider planning a trip to downtown Placerville, we highly suggest The Enchanted Forest Dining Experience. It is wonderful!

    It was basically a perfect night. I went with my daughter. We were set immediately. The service was good. The bar a little slow the food was delicious and so fun. We got one of those hot pots cooked it ourselves at the table. I’ll definitely go back.
