Ernesto’s is the acclaimed Basque-inspired restaurant from veteran chef Ryan Bartlow, who has worked at world-renowned restaurants, including Akelarre in Spain, Alinea in Chicago, and Frenchette in New York City. At Ernesto’s — which has been named one of The New York Times ‘best new restaurants’ of the year, among other accolades — Bartlow offers a menu inspired by his years spent cooking and living in the Basque region of Spain, mixing signature traditional dishes with seasonal riffs on classic flavors.

Ernesto's is open for dinner Monday from 5:30-9:30pm and Tuesday-Thursday from 5pm-9:30pm with the kitchen closing at 9:45pm, and Fri-Sat 5pm-10pm with the kitchen closing at 10:30pm. We accept reservations and walk-ins. We take reservations up to two weeks in advance with our books opening at midnight.

Everything was diving but what stood out were the croquetas de jamon and the jamon iberico on potato chips!

Alexandra and Ryan held it down! Food and cocktails were great as always. Only suggestion I have is to regulate the seating better. We waited in the entranceway for 20 minutes past our reservation time, as did a bunch of other parties. Nonetheless will remain one of our neighborhood favorites.

Great dining at the bar experience. Great cocktails and Spanish wines by the glass (try the bubbly and the Albariño). Delicious tapas selections - shrimp toast, crab tart, crosnes, and don’t miss the Bikini Hemingway (best grilled cheese ever!).

Everything was great. Still my favorite restaurant in the city. Only one thing I would like to mention is the cod dish. It was really good but felt like the cure was too much? It was bit too salty.

The best Soanish restaurant in NYC, and probably one of the most unique and high-quality spots in town. Chef Ryan Bartlow is a super star

This is a great restaurant to come to for any special occasion. The staff are very friendly and helpful with ordering if you’re new to the menu. Food is amazing! Every bite was perfection.
