Located in the beautiful community of Sugar Land, Texas, Escalante's is a popular and family-friendly Tex-Mex restaurant. Service was lovely, food is not good. I ordered the carne asada Escalante with cilantro rice. The rice had bell peppers in it. The skirt steak has cojita cheese “melted” on top, one it cooled it turned to plastic, did even melt on to the steak, just piece of burnt rubbery cheese on top. Drink was decent, but overly priced. Order the El Señor.

Everything was great. Server was attentive. Food was fresh and tasted amazing. Clean place. Great atmosphere

We sat at a high top by the bar It is an attractive area and comfortable seating Everyone enjoyed their food Chicken grilled shrimp fajitas Tacos Enchiladas The table, side, guacamole, and Blanco queso or joyed by all !!

Food quality was good. Service needs improvement. Ordered appetizers and drinks, but they arrived at the table after main course was served. They got one dish wrong two times. Kitchen staff, wait staff and management need to pay attention to what they are doing. Likely will not return due to service and prices are higher than other restaurants with same or better quality food.
